Harmless flirting

I pulled my red dress down, to at least cover my ass. Luke was already downstairs waiting for me, probably talking with my mom about politics or something like that. He was damn serious on this whole going out for a bit of 'harmless flirting' tonight and honestly I would never admit it to him but I was dreading it. I was a jealous freak.. even though I go on at him for being too insecure when I talk to guys, I'm much worst when he talks to girls. Especially when he talks to the 'respectful' sort. Not the ones that would open their legs for anyone who looked twice at them. 'Good girls' flirting with my boyfriend made me nervous, the ones who look shyly into to their glass of wine when he gives them a compliment. They are the type that threaten us girls with boyfriends. That are boy will get sick of our antics and want a good girl for a change. Yes I was jealous at times but I was so much better at hiding that than Luke was.

I stared at myself in the mirror and snapped a quick selfie to send to my friends, honestly I look good and I can't let that go unnoticed.

"Mom is so pissed that you're going out on a school night. She's trying to talk Luke out of going". Lola waltzed into my room. I groaned as I put on my black heels.

"Well I'm going out with or without Luke", I explained and Lola giggled. "Well preferably with Luke as he goes back to college tomorrow".

Once I was ready Lola walked with me down the stairs telling me how Martin and Molly have already broken up because Molly cheated on him with another boy on their year.

"Wow molly gets around them fast", I sneered and realized that I use to be like that and probably still would be if I didn't have Luke.

"Perfect timing taxis here", Luke announced from the bottom of the stairs. His eyes not leaving my legs.

"Hayley what are you wearing?", my mother sighed when she saw me. "Put on a coat at least".

"Bye mom", I called and shut the door in her face. Luke grabbed my hand and pulled me into his chest.

"Okay I know we said a bit of harmless flirting but I'm already regretting saying that", he whispered his hand resting on my back. I pulled away from him and we both got into the taxi. Luke cleared his throat and told the driver where we were headed.

"Stop staring at me", I laughed at Luke whose eyes were still glued to me.

"I can't stop, you look sexy as hell", he mumbled into my ear, his hand squeezed my thigh a little.

"Luke, keep it in your pants", I muttered a laugh rising in my throat. He shrugged and lay his head on my shoulder. "You still want to do a bit of harmless flirting tonight?" I asked, I was hoping he changed his mind.

"Of course, lets see how jealous you get", he mumbled and I groaned internally. Fine we'll make it a game.

We eventually reached the club and I got out of the taxi first, Luke behind me.

"You ready for this?" He mumbled in my ear as we joined the small queue that had started to form.

"I'm gonna win", I smirked and he frowned.

"Wait and see baby", he chuckled and kissed the top of my head. We eventually made it into the club and I made a beeline for the bar, Luke had gone to scope the place out. I think he meant he was gonna look for some girls he wanted to flirt with. This was a stupid game, but it was quite amusing. I ordered a drink and when I looked up he was already having a nice old chat with some girl.

I giggled to myself and walked over to the lounge area where thankfully no one was seated. I took a sip from my pink gin and lemonade. I can't drink gin for the life of me, it makes me incredibly drunk too quickly. But that was the fun part.
