So everyone is saying that in order to be in VFD, you have to get abducted from your home and leave your parents to technically die sooner or later. That just sounds HORRIBLE.
Which is why if I were a volunteer I wouldn't be so loyal to VFD. I mean sure I would be on the Noble side, put out fires, and stuff but after reading about the abduction thing it scares me.
Which comes another theory-
I know the show isn't exactly canon but I thought it was interesting that in The End The Baudelaires we're talking their last to Olaf saying that he was wicked, he killed their parents blah blah... and he said something like "I can't believe you didn't figure it out yet." That didn't exactly give me the chills, but I just thought it opened my mind to the reality of VFD! It has good and bad people... but the rules they established at the beginning of the organization were just cruel. So cruel. Like... what if he meant anyone in VFD could've killed Bertrand and Beatrice? Especially that three children thing. Jane_Walker said in one of her Headcannons that if a family in VFD had three children that's when they would get their children and kill the parents. And remember the Quagmires, Baudelaires, even Snickets... they all had three siblings in the family. Isn't that a little eery? But the possibility that the noble side of VFD did it is not accurate because they're the FIRE FIGHTERS, not the starters. Only God knows...
And even the tattoo thing!!! When exactly did they get tattoos? When they were kids??? I mean the tattoo is really cool for sure but that's basically forcing someone to have it. Like what if you didn't want a tattoo? Tbh I'd rather have the symbol in the form of a necklace or earring or short than a tattoo. If you want one, cool.
But what I'm trying to say is that VFD isn't an innocent organization like the show made it. It's a complicated one. VERRRY complicated.
