Thank you for giving me something to believe in.
All my life I had lived in the shadows until you came along. It was like every relationship prior to you hadn't mattered much. You gave me a relationship that felt serious, and like it would eventually lead to something. It made my heart full, like it was going to burst and take flight.
I'd never had that before.
I'd never had someone care about me the way you did. I'm not sure how much you did care or love me, but you did to a degree. For that, I'm eternally grateful.
You might not have been my first love, but I think I'll always remember you for the amount of hope you gave me. For teaching me so much.
