Silhouettes gathered near a rushing river as the moon began to climb its way its position in the dark sky. They sat Themselves down and a deafening silence covered the area like blankets on a bed.

A shadow snaked along a narrow and steep path, and watched the silhouettes, ears twitching.

"Soon it will be time. " An elderly voice rasped. "The moon will shine over the river and we can speak. "

The silence blanketed the clearing once more.

Minutes later, the Moon rose high in the night sky, and light beamed down into the clearing. It reflected on the river, and made the cats pulse with stars and light.

"We may speak. " The elderly she-cat croaked.

"We are here to discuss important matters." A light tabby Tom started speaking.

"Driftstar, mustn't we check if we are alone before we talk about such 'important' matters? " A starry young she-cat butted in.

A small rock fell off of a ledge, somewhere up the bank.

"Your silence is like thunder. " The elderly she-cat's eyes widened. "Quickshadow. "

"Well done, you found me. " Sarcasm filled Quickshadow's screeching voice.
