Jin pov~
We stood there in the front of the store by the checkout lines, looking around at everything but each other. I figured we could just stand here for an hour and then leave. When I decided on that plan I heard someone come up behind us. "Hey-ya boys!" the man said wrapping his arms around both of us embracing us in a hug, all the while awkwardly pulling me closer to Namjoon than I was comfortable with. "Who are you?" I asked. I noticed he had a relatively small face and short black hair. "I'm Youngjae, I'm a friend of Daehyuns," he smiled. I rolled my eyes, of course he'd be this thorough with his little plan. "Let me guess, you're here to make sure we stay together right?" I asked. He nodded smiling, "Now go do some shopping boys I'll be watching," he said pushing us forward.
I sighed as Namjoon turned and began walking toward the pharmacy section. "Where are you going?" I muttered following behind. "To get that loser some glasses, what do you think I'm doing?"
I rolled my eyes, "Seriously? You're still calling him names?" I asked.
"I stopped calling him freak, you should be happy."
I said nothing, he was probably right. We turned down to the glasses aisle.
"What eyes does he have?" Namjoon asked looking at all of the glasses in the section.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"His eyes, how blind are they?" He asked. I nodded, assuming I had understood what he meant.
"Well, from what I remember he wore the same prescription of glasses as I did when I was younger, and I don't think he's gone anymore blind so probably these ones," I said grabbing a black pair similar to my own. Namjoon nodded and I stared at him deeply, getting lost in thought. He glanced up, "what?" He asked.I shook my head, placing the glasses back on the rack and walking over to the contact section. "What are you doing?" Namjoon asked. I grabbed a box of lenses off the shelf. "I think it's better if he has contacts, who knows how many more pairs of his glasses you'll end up breaking," I muttered. I looked at him and noticed that he balled his hands into a fist.
"If you test my patience anymore I'll break him and every pair in this store," he muttered.
My eyes widened, but before I could make a remark he turned around and walked away. As he left he yelled to Youngjae, who was hiding in the corner watching us, that he'd be right back. I sighed, shaking my head. He seemed to be getting on my nerves more and more each day. I decided to just ignore him and get out my phone. I searched through my phone contacts.
I know I didn't delete Jimin's mom's number in here. I finally found it after a few minutes and called."Hello?"
"Hey Mrs. Park this is Jin."
"Oh Jin! It's been a while how are you? Is everything okay with Jimin?" She asked.
"I'm doing well Mrs. Park and yes he's fine. I was just calling about Jimin it seems his glasses broke."
"Oh that clumsy boy he loses more pairs than I can afford to pay for," she muttered.
"I know Mrs. park, that's why I'm at the store. I was wondering if you've taken Jimin to the eye doctor recently?" I asked.
"Oh yes I took him recently!"
"Okay, I was wondering if he gave you a prescription for just glasses or if he fitted Jimin for contact lenses as well?" I asked.
"You know, I think the doctor did. He said with Jimin's clumsiness contacts are probably a better choice but I couldn't afford to pay so much for them."
"That's Alright Mrs. Park, I was wondering if you could send me a picture of his prescription because I'm going to buy him some," I said.
"You are? Oh how sweet I'll send it right over Jin sweetheart," she said.
"Thank you Mrs. Park I hope to hear from you soon," I said, saying goodbye before I hung up. She sent the picture and I found the perfect match. As I grabbed the box Namjoon showed up behind me. "Did you figure it out?" He said causing me to jump, "you can't scare me like Namjoon," I said placing my hand over my heart. He shrugged his shoulders as I looked down at a bag in his arms. "You.... got a bag of suckers?" I asked. He opened the bag and got one out, unwrapping it and placing it in his mouth. "You can't just open stuff in the store Namjoon," I said. "Don't worry I already paid for it," he said pulling the receipt out of his pocket. "And why do you need those?" I asked. He shrugged, "Last time I was angry they calmed me down, I'm hoping they work again," he muttered. I decided it was better to let him be, after all the more calm he was the better he was to handle.
