From that day everyone came to know a new version of her as she revealed herself to them. From then Nobody bothered to evoke any emotional attachment from her for they knew it wasn't possible. The girl named Gongsun Li forgot how to love.

Gongsun Li rubbed her eyes to clear her blurry vision while she was sitting on bed after a nice sleep. She was actually having a visual hallucination!!!!

According to what her eyes see, there was the mighty emperor sitting on the sofa in all his glory...

So ridiculous!!! How could he be here? He was busy with the war preparations and even if he was here, then how the hell she was in all her pieces though she dared to sleep in his bed??

No,no.... this can't be true!!!!

She couldn't wrap her head around the sudden happenings and blurted out the next words,

"Why are you here?"

Zhu Zhen was going through some papers when he heard her question. Lifting his head to her direction, he raised an eyebrow slowly as if warning her to change the question.

G.Li felt her heart skip a bit realizing the impending danger. So the next moment, she shot up from the bed and knelt down before the emperor,

"Your highness, please forgive this lowly servant's rubbish tongue. What this maid actually wanted to ask was why weren't you in palace last few days?" she asked stretching her lips to form the sweetest smile that would even make the ants gag..

"Was busy" the emperor replied shifting his gaze to the paper...

To ensure her head's permanent attachment to her neck, she decided to add a few more words...

"This servant was really worried for your highness. I really couldn't sleep well all these nights thinking if something bad happened to his highness"

Zhu Zhen shot his head up to look at his little wife's face. Amusement flickered in his eyes listening to her shameless lies..

"But you seemed to have a nice sleep last night", he muttered eying her leasurely.

Last night?? That means last night he was here...O.M.G!!!!!then...

"Where did you sleep last night?", G.Li couldn't stop the words rolling off her tongue in her panicked state...

Something flickered in the emperor's eyes as if he was remembering something...

"On bed", he replied.His eyes moving everywhere avoiding his wife. He wanted to sound normal but the tips of his ears turned red betraying his real emotions..

Did I really hear what I just heard?!!!

G.Li's eyes widened as the meaning of his words dawned upon her...

Give me poison. I want to die!!!
