Eye of the Storm

I was hanging upside down, with clear cookies in my hands, inside the Teladuv with the rest of the paladins how we ended up here is a long story.

After my talk with Allura, I was fully intending on heading to my room but found Hunk in the Kitchen making clear cookies?

"Oh, (Y/n), wanna try a cookie?" He asked.

"No, thanks, I'm good," I said normally I don't question his creations but this time... it was questionable.

"So how are you planning to rest up?" He asked.

"By doing absolutely nothing," I didn't want to go to sleep because I didn't want to have another weird dream... but that's all my life is now is weird.

"Well, the next batch is done!" He cheered pulling out more.

"What did you even make those with?" Before he could answer the castle started shaking we were thrown off balance.

"My cookies!" He shouted.

"Hunk forget the cookies lets go!" I told him as we ran to the control room and jumped into our seats.

Coran popped up on the screen, he'd fixed the turbine but fell on his back from all the shaking. "Uhm guys I think I really do have a case of the slipperies..." He said biting his lip looking sad and apologized to Pidge who ran down to help him. I was helping Lance and Keith by calling out the fighters before power to the defense drones were cut off. Coran and Pidge were able to get enough power for one very small jump. We ended up in front of a metallic storm.

I sighed and slumped down in my seat. Before Shiro spoke up. "Zarkon must be tracking us that would be the only way he keeps finding us." We pulled Coran up on the screen where he was just kinda sliding around like he was skating. "Coran, what's our status? Any good news?"

"Actually there is a bit of good new..." I really didn't want to hear him talk about sweat but we still couldn't do much about the Teladuv since it was still broken. Pidge pointed out the storm ahead of us and suggested we hide in the eye of the storm. This should work as long as we're being tracked by normal means but considering these are alien species who knows anymore. We weren't even here for two minutes before Zarkon was on top of us again... I'm getting really fed up with this. He couldn't give us a break? We quickly suited up and launched our lions to form Voltron and get rid of the fighters. It didn't take us long.

Once we cleared most of the fighters Zarkon's ship began to follow us and we felt the pull from Zarkon trying to take control of the black lion. We were struggling to move thankfully Allura and Coran saved us and we kept our distance from Zarkon. Before returning to the castle but we still hadn't wormholed.

Coran mentioned something about Scultrite? And Pidge mentioned Hunks clear cookies. Coran had said they'd work if we were actually holding them which is how I ended up hanging off a broken lens upside down while holding two of Hunks cookies. If this kills us I'm haunting Coran for the rest of his life. Coran fired up the teludav but it didn't work the first time. He figured the cookies needed to be shined and told Allura to try again in ten ticks. He quickly ran past all of us and just as the beam was about the reach Hunk Coran slid past and hid behind some lenses. It actually worked. Allura came down to find up all fried quite literally. We got down and brushed ourselves off. Mental note: DON'T TRUST CORAN!

We took off our paladin armor and met back in the control room to try and figure out how Zarkon was tracking us.

"There is no point in discussing this further Zarkon is clearly tracking us through me," Allura said every single one of us replied with some form of no way. There are just too many variables to actually pinpoint how he's actually tracking us.

"It's not you Princess it's me," Keith spoke from behind us we all just gave him a look.

"Because?" Hunk questioned him.

"I just think he must have imprinted on me during our fight or something,"

"For all, we know he's tracking us through the black lion anytime we get close Shiro has to fight him for control," Pidge said. Of all our options that seemed like the most reasonable.

"But that's only when Zarkon is nearby," Coran said "No paladin has ever been able to connect to a lion over that vast of a distance,"

"How do we know it couldn't be done? This is the first time we've had two paladins for the same lion," I pointed out.

"Look it doesn't matter how they're tracking us we're taking the fight to them soon enough. They've chased us from galaxy to galaxy the last thing they expect is for us to come knocking on their door." Shiro said.

"The hunter becomes the hunted. That like the tag line to six of my favorite movies." Lance smirked.

"Well, I've taken into account all our last fights and analyzed them with anomalies from the sites to create an algorithm that would within a statistically acceptable margin of error that would provide a list of Galra rich environments color coded of course cause what are we animals?" She pulled up a map.

"Cool!" Lance said. "What is it again?"

"It's a Galra finder?" Hunk asked.

"Finder would suggest that it locates the Galra where as-"

I cut her off seeing that the others were getting confused. "Just say it's a Galra finder." I groaned.

She pouted, "Fine. It's a Galra finder." We found the nearest planet Taujeer and agreed to finally get some rest. I waited outside Keith's room for him, how the tables have turned.

"Well this is different," I heard him slightly chuckle.

"I was just thinking the same thing," I smiled a bit. He invited me into his room.

"You okay?" He asked.

"I could ask you the same thing." I pointed out. "But for the most part everything is fine I'm just trying to figure them out myself."
"We can always talk for a bit because we both really should get some sleep."
"I just have been having strange dreams, not like the normal kind of strange dreams more like I'm looking through someone else eyes." I looked up.

He pulled me close and hugged me, I hugged back. "It's okay."

"You know I feel bad telling you my problems you know you can tell me what's bugging you too." I looked up at him.

"I know and I will." He said. "Now you really should go to bed though." He told me. He gave me a quick peck before I walked to my room.
