His eyes....

Seeing him....

As I walk to my locker after 1rst period, I notice a new face in the sophomore hallway. He's tall and has eyes like emeralds. His hair is like sand on the beach in the hot sun. He's very attractive and I am shy, so I keep my head down as I walk by him, staring at the textbook I'm carrying close to my chest. I have no real idea of what is going on around me. Next thing I know, someone knocks my text book from my hands. I bend down to pick it up, but someone is there picking it up for me. It was him! I stand back up, waiting for him to hand the book back to me and go on with his day. He glances up with a red face. That's when I met his eyes, sparkling and glossy. He was embarrassed for knocking my book from my hands, so he stands up, places the book in my hands, and he apologizes. I say thanks and walk quickly to class.
~ Time passes~
All day, all I could think about was his eyes. In the short moments that my eyes caught his, I felt like he was staring into my soul. His eyes were so green that they were almost inhuman, but I think that's what intrigued me the most.
~ the end of the school day~
As I'm headed to my car, I see him across the lot. He is walking in my direction. I get nervous, and I feel heat start to flood my face. He grows closer and closer until he is in front of me. He says hello, so I say hello back because I didn't want to be rude. He apologizes once more for knocking my book out of my hands in the hallway, and then he asked me about the book, wanting to know more about biology. The textbook was for my ap biology class. The whole time he was talking to me I stared into his eyes. As he walked away, my face returned to normal, but the feeling in my stomach stayed. As I get into my car he drives past and waves. By the time I look back up from locking in my seatbelt, he's gone.
Later that night in my bed, I lay awake thinking of his eyes. So beautiful, and so mysterious.
