Alicia's point of view
I looked around the forest to find out, the source of the weeping sounds. Yes, I know I'm crazy. Any sane girl would've just ran the moment she heard such noises. But me being me, I didn't, and farther away from me I saw a darker shade, figure of a . . . . boy?
With shaky legs I moved forward, and slowly moved closer to the boy. I had big doubts that this boy was any kind of a supernatural creature. He looked like a young boy.
Lost. Scared. Alone.
I know because at some point I had felt the same.
I blinked vigorously to get the picture out of my face and focus in the present.
As I moved closer to him I could figure out the way he had curled himself up like a ball. He looked so tiny.
He hid his face with his knees. Arms wrapped around his knees.
I was now standing in front of him. And I guess he sensed me near him because he suddenly froze.
I bent down on my knees and placed a hand on his shoulders. The boy's head snapped up. His eyes wide of fear and swollen of crying so much. I could figure out the redness of his eyes. Tears slipping down his cheeks. My heart clenched seeing him like this.
He looked so young. Like a two or three year old. Oh baby.
My heart softened seeing him like this and I cupped his face, rubbing his tears. His cheeks were so soft.
He looked really scared and he pulled away and quickly hid behind the tree. I could see his tiny fingers from the side.
I was confused, but then I understood that his reaction was obvious. He was scared and probably thought I would hurt him.
I wanted to cry, thinking how much this young boy must have gone through. He looked so cute and like a. . . baby.
I was determined to help him. Of course I couldn't leave him here and let him be.
"No, no, no. No hut me. Please. I did nothing. I sorry. P-please." I heard his baby voice lacing fear. It was hoarse and broke while saying. He sobbed between words and again started crying.
"Hey, hey sweetheart." I tried speaking to him in my softest and most soothing, calm and caring voice. "Don't cry darling. I promise I won't hurt you. I promise. I'm here to help you."
He stopped crying and was quite but then I heard him whisper, "Mommy."
I frowned. "Mommy?" I asked. He peeped at me from behind the tree. His tiny head nodded "You talk like mommy."
I smiled. Aww. "And I can promise I won't hurt you. Come out. . . Please?"
I stayed kneeled on the ground so I was almost there same level as him, just a little taller.
After a minute of silence and searching my face for any lies, he said, "Pomise?" His voice was on the edge of crying.
"Promise baby. I won't. " I smiled.
Again after a minute of silence he came out. Taking baby little steps and stood in front of me. Looking down and suddenly he started crying. Loud sobs echoed in forest.
