Alicia's point of view

I looked around the forest to find out, the source of the weeping sounds. Yes, I know I'm crazy. Any sane girl would've just ran the moment she heard such noises. But me being me, I didn't, and farther away from me I saw a darker shade, figure of a . . . . boy?

With shaky legs I moved forward, and slowly moved closer to the boy. I had big doubts that this boy was any kind of a supernatural creature. He looked like a young boy.

Lost. Scared. Alone.

I know because at some point I had felt the same.

I blinked vigorously to get the picture out of my face and focus in the present.

As I moved closer to him I could figure out the way he had curled himself up like a ball. He looked so tiny.

He hid his face with his knees. Arms wrapped around his knees.

I was now standing in front of him. And I guess he sensed me near him because he suddenly froze.

I bent down on my knees and placed a hand on his shoulders. The boy's head snapped up. His eyes wide of fear and swollen of crying so much. I could figure out the redness of his eyes. Tears slipping down his cheeks. My heart clenched seeing him like this.

He looked so young. Like a two or three year old. Oh baby.

My heart softened seeing him like this and I cupped his face, rubbing his tears. His cheeks were so soft.

He looked really scared and he pulled away and quickly hid behind the tree. I could see his tiny fingers from the side.

I was confused, but then I understood that his reaction was obvious. He was scared and probably thought I would hurt him.

I wanted to cry, thinking how much this young boy must have gone through. He looked so cute and like a. . . baby.

I was determined to help him. Of course I couldn't leave him here and let him be.

"No, no, no. No hut me. Please. I did nothing. I sorry. P-please." I heard his baby voice lacing fear. It was hoarse and broke while saying. He sobbed between words and again started crying.

"Hey, hey sweetheart." I tried speaking to him in my softest and most soothing, calm and caring voice. "Don't cry darling. I promise I won't hurt you. I promise. I'm here to help you."

He stopped crying and was quite but then I heard him whisper, "Mommy."

I frowned. "Mommy?" I asked. He peeped at me from behind the tree. His tiny head nodded "You talk like mommy."

I smiled. Aww. "And I can promise I won't hurt you. Come out. . . Please?"

I stayed kneeled on the ground so I was almost there same level as him, just a little taller.

After a minute of silence and searching my face for any lies, he said, "Pomise?" His voice was on the edge of crying.

"Promise baby. I won't. " I smiled.

Again after a minute of silence he came out. Taking baby little steps and stood in front of me. Looking down and suddenly he started crying. Loud sobs echoed in forest.

"Hey." I quickly pulled him to me and hugged his little body. I bent down more so he could be comfortable in my arms.

His little arms wrapped around my back. So tightly and hid his in my neck.

I stroked his back with one hand the other was softly placed on his head. I moved to and fro whispering sweet nothings to him and quietened him. "Shh, don't cry baby. You're safe now. No one will hurt you now. No one. You're safe."

He was now silently sobbing. I felt my neck wet from his tears. I kept stroking his back and I guess he finally felt safe. His grip loosened around me and his silent sobs turned into silent snores. He fell asleep hugging me.

"Hey little boy, are you asleep?" I asked softly but got no reply. I smiled and picked him up still hugging his little body. His small leg wrapped around my waist, hands around my neck and his head resting on my shoulders. I tightened my grip around him, so he doesn't fall down and stood up. I walked back to the streets and found my way back to the car.

I was standing in front of my car and would face palmed myself but he was in my arms, sound asleep. I didn't have the car keys it was with Julie.

Now how do I go in there? I can't keep him on the car bonnet. He might fall down and most of all its not safe. What should I do? I can't take him in there with me. The music's too loud which might wake him up and he would get scared and start crying. Oh, what am supposed to do now?

I was still thinking when I suddenly spotted Samantha in the doorway. She was one of my class mates. She's really good and kind.

She was alone and it seemed like she was enjoying it out here. Hmm, it is peaceful.

Right now, she was like my saviour in danger. I was about to call her from here but soon realised it wouldn't be a good idea for the kid in my arms would wake up.

I walked fast to Samantha and whispered her name. "Hey, Samantha?"

"Ah!" She yelped in surprise and placed a hand over her chest. Calming herself.

"Oh god, it's you." She breathed in relief.

I smiled apologetically at her. He stared in my arms making cute sounds. I smiled and quickly moved my self to and fro and comforted him.

Samantha eyes him suspiciously and confusingly, "You've -" I hushed her, and pointed my my index finger to the baby. "Talk softly he'll wake up."

"Sorry. But who is this baby? You have a son?!" She whisper yelled completely confused now.

My eyes widened, "NO! Of course not! It's a long story, I'll explain it to you later. I need your help right now."

She opened her mouth to say something but stopped, nodding, "Okay. But I want details when you come to school." She smiled. "What do you need help with?"

"Yes, thank you so much. Would you please go inside and ask Manjul Sketsie to give her car keys to me. Tell her it's emergency and I need to go home. Please." She nodded, "Okay, no worries." She smiled and left.

I walked back to the car and leaned against.

I was recalling all that happened today, when Samantha stood in front of me hanging the car keys from her index finger and grinning, "There ya go!"

"Thank you so much Samy, I would've hugged you right now, but I can't. You are my saviour. "

"It's okay I get it. Here, let me open it."

She opened the car and I moved to the other side of the car and opened it, placing him in the car and pulled the seat belt over his tiny body securely.
