Xia Yaoyao was labelled as 'crazy' by her mother's friends because of her strange behaviour. She is usually a very happy-go-lucky girl that can light up the whole world with her smile and can be seen as a girl with a very fragile heart but she didn't even shed any tears at her mother's funeral. She didn't even make any sound for days now even when the police ask her about the details of the accident, she just looked ahead like she has nothing to do with anything that happened around her like she is just a passerby. So without any witness or proof, the case is just brushed up as an accident.
Eva thinks hard about the problem of Xia Yaoyao's custody. She wants to take care of Xia Yaoyao but she can't as she is a woman with a career and she doesn't even have time to take care of herself. Her sister Han Xiang Lin chose to cut the connection with the family when she tried to raise Xia Yaoyao as a single mother so she pretty much cannot depend on her Han family to take care of Xia Yaoyao. After Eva made up her mind. She walks toward Xia Yaoyao's room. When she arrived in front of Xia Yaoyao's room. She didn't bother to knock as she knows that she will not receive a response by knocking so she just entered the room when she was greeted with the sight of absent-minded Xia Yaoyao that just staring into space. She sighs and then takes a seat in front of her before breaking the news to her.
" Honey, Aunt decided to send you to your father's house." She spoke gently to her niece. Suddenly, Xia Yaoyao's eyes lit up. She looks at Eva straight in the eyes and said.
"Really? you promise?" With hopeful eyes, Xia Yaoyao grabbed Eva's hand and smiled.
Eva was slightly taken aback by her smile and nod. 'Kids will be kids. Maybe she needs her father's love as a substitute for her mother's love tsk.tsk,' Eva thought in her head. She patted Xia Yaoyao's head and smile.
"Yes, I promise. you have to be a good girl there okay?"
"Okay, Aunty Eva. Thank you so much" She said with an angelic smile.
Eva stand up and told Xia Yaoyao to start packing up as she will inform her father about it and Xia Yaoyao just nodded eagerly. After closing the door behind her, Eva smiles. 'sigh, she only reacts when I mention her father' then she walks away.
Inside the room, after the door closed, Xia Yaoyao suddenly smirks and snickers.
' *Sigh* I'm so hungry. Luckily I was able to fool her into sending me to my father's house or else she will dump me away at the orphanage. If I appear as my usual self in front of her, no doubt that she will force me to confess to the location of my mom's asset documents and will change it to her name but If I appear absent-minded, stupid and crazy then she will not have a choice but to send me to my father's house as sending me to a hospital will risk my identity from leaking and sending me to my father's house will make her work easier. I can't trust anyone anymore including my own aunt. I need to grow up first before begin investigating my mom's killer.'
'Hm, I should change my appearance as well. This is too eye-catching and also I have to start gathering a connection in the A Capital. Mom, I Xia Yaoyao will avenge your death!'
At this time Xia Yaoyao already shed all her childhood innocence away. The only thing that is remaining was her sweet memory of her mother which is replaced by strong resentment towards her mother's killer.
