COLD SURROUNDED HER AS Alaric, Elena, and Aria took place walking in a underground tunnel. It was freezing in there. Everything about it made her cold. She shined her light around the cave, glancing left and right. She stared straight ahead of her and smirked at Alaric. She shook some dirty thoughts out of her head and continued following his stance. Of course her eyes lead down to his ass, again. "So the Lockwood's really have no idea that these tunnels are under their property?" Elena asked. She shined the light at the back of her sisters head.

"Yeah. Careful where you shine that thing. Bats hate the lights." Aria stopped walking, her body seemed to stiffen. "B-bats?" She choked out. "Wait. What?" Elena asked, stopping behind Aria. "Elena." A voice said behind them, causing both of them to turn around. Damon stood behind them with a smirk.

"Boo!" He shouted, holding his hands up. Aria yelped, scared. She sent a glare towards Damon when she realized it was only him. "God, Damon," Elena rolled her eyes, hitting the eldest Salvatore brother in the chest. "Scaredy-cats." He smirked.

"Just ignore him. That's what I do," Alaric spoke. Aria chuckled. "So you really can't get in?" She asked. "No. Seems even the ancient Lockwood's were anti-vampire." "What do you mean ancient?" Elena asked. "See for yourself." Elena glanced at Aria before they both walked closer to the cave wall. They shined their light at the wall. "What is all this?" Aria asked, running a hand over the markings on the wall.

"Well, as far as I can tell it's a story. In simple archeological terms, it's a really, really old story." He showed them the drawings. "That right there is a moon cycle. The man. A wolf. A werewolf." He explained. "Yeah. It's the Lockwood diaries, Pictionary style." Damon said. "I don't understand. I thought the Lockwood's came here with the original founder's in the 1860's," Aria furrowed her eyebrows. She glanced at Ric. "Ah, maybe the Lockwood's did, according to this wall, these werewolves have been here a lot longer than that."

"How long?" Aria folded her arms. "Long. Gets better, show them, Ric," Damon spoke. "Show us what?" Elena asked, furrowing her eyebrows. He showed them another drawing. "Names. And they're not native. They're written in runic, a Viking script."

"Vikings?" Aria asked. "This name here, when translated it, it reads... Niklaus." Her eyes widened.

"Klaus." Elena said.

"And Elijah... and Rebekah..."

"These are the names of the Original family?" Aria gaped, staring with wide eyes. "Carved into a cave that's... been here since way before the founding of Mystic Falls or even the entire world, for that matter." "Ok, this has gotta be one of Klaus's fakes," Elena said. "That's what I said," Damon said. "That could be true, expect the last name up here made us think otherwise." "What's the name?" Aria asked, looking at him. "Mikael." "Mikael? Mikael, as in the vampire hunter who knows how to kill Klaus?" Elena asked. "Yep. And I now like to call him papa original." Damon grinned. "Smooth Damon, so smooth," Aria shook her head. "I know." He smiled.

"These images tell a story, to learn the story, I have to decipher these images," Alaric explained. Aria glanced at the pictures, picking up one and studying it. "Sloppy," Damon said, as Elena and him were practicing training. "Shut up. I'm new at this." Aria chuckled. "The ghost of Christmas past, Mason Lockwood said that a cave would lead us to a weapon that would kill Klaus." "But doesn't Mikael have a weapon?" Aria asked. "Yes, which probably means that the wall will lead us to Mikael, who we've already found lost." "These images, at the very least, might tell us what weapon it is." "Then all we have to do is find out what they mean." Elena said, joining them. "Well, fine. Fine. If I'm being irritatingly optimistic like you three. How do we suppose we do that?"
