The Shadow...(B2ST) part 14

Third person POV

Jun Hyung, Yoseop and aunt Kan arrived to the scene of when Gi Kwang and Yuri were in a 'wrong' pose. The two boys just stared at Gi Kwang, with murderous aura. As for Aunt Kan, she went and took out a broomstick and entered the room.

Gi Kwang sweat dropped as he was scared of the consequences of landing himself on a innocent girl. He couldn't think up ofany explanation as it was just a total misunderstanding.

"Just what had Gi Kwangie been up to since we were trying to get this room?" Jun Hyung said sarcastically.

"I guess he was just trying to hog her all along," Yoseop implied with an evil smirk

"What the hell are you doing?! Don't you dare to do things that are not allowed yet!!!" aunt Kan said as she swung the broom stick onto Gi Kwang but failed.

"Mianhe yo, it was just a misunderstanding. I tripped...and landed onto Yuri, that's all!!!" Gi Kwang said as he sat down on the floor, just infront of the angry aunt Kan with the broom stick.

"Oh...do you think that I would believe such an equivocate of yours? How naive of you, boy," Aunt Kan said as she hold the broom in preparation to hit Gi Kwang.

"Ah!!!! Please wait before you swing that!!" Gi Kwang yelled as he extended his hand and did a shielding pose.

Aunt Kan's eyes glowed in fire as she began to swing the broom onto Gi Kwang. Fortunately, Gi Kwang was able to escape from being hit, through the window that hasn't been open for decades. Jun Hyung and Yoseop just laughed at what they had witnessed.

Yuri remain entranced by the situation as she somewhat unable to catch up what was going on. Aunt Kan quickly went to Yuri and asked if she was being harrassed by that wolf(Gi Kwang, no offence). Yuri just replied that he didn't do any harm to her. Henceforth, Aunt Kan remained silent and decided to drag Yuri out of the room and allowed the boys to use it.

"Um, ma'am, where will she sleep?" Yoseop asked as he patted Buddy's head.

"In my room...feel free to use this room. I don't want this precious jewel here to be harrassed by that disgusting monster," Aunt Kan said as she had that deadly way of speaking about that guy.

"Kamsahamnida, Aunt... We shall use this room with care," Jun Hyung replied.

*timeskip*

The boys and the Kan's family were having their dinner. They had a great feast that night. A big serving of broth was cooked by aunt Kan for the guests, which were the boys and Yuri. They also had some local food, as in the Shadow world's, which was known as the 'kurimcha', a type of dish which requires the magic cook book in order to create a taste that was favoured by everyone.

"Wow, it tastes like strawberry!!!" Yoon Ki exclaimed as he ate the kurimcha.

"Even though it looked like a normal kimchi but it tastes like what we imagined!" Du Jun said.

There was this unbearable silence as the boys didn't cooperate well, in the meantime. Gi Kwang wasn't joining them at the table as he was scared of what had happened just now and he didn't want to face the aunt's wrath just because of the accident. Hyun Seung, as usual, ate with his stoic yet cold face on. He was sitting facing Yuri. Yuri was tense somehow. She daren't to move an inch to take the food she wanted to take. Yoseop fed Buddy as he ate his serving. Jun Hyumg just stared at the food, deep in thought. Dong Woon played with the peas as he was feeling unease with the unwanted silence.

"Come on, boys, dig in! You gotta enjoy the food before it gets cold!" Jillane said as he took some chicken from the serving.

"Noona! You gotta eat in order to get your strength back," Yoon Ki cheered Yuri up.

"Gomawoyo, Yoon Ki-ah..." Yuri replied with a smile. "Oh, where did Geu Rim went to?"

"She really is taking her time in thr kitchen, eh?" Aunt Kan said as she put some peas into her mouth. "I'll go and check her."

The remaining people continued having their dinner, in silence excepr for the clanking of the utensils. Aunt Kan proceeded into the kitchen. It was dark and she couldn't sense anyone's presence in there. She decided to yell out Geu Rim's name. But there's no response. Not even a single footstep or a rustle could be heard.

'This is weird...something must have happened,' Aunt Kan thought as she observed her surroundings.

The cooking utensils are all over the place. The pots and pans are all on the counter. Where on earth is Geu Rim?

Suddenly, something cold touched Aunt Kan's leg. Immediately, she flinched as she looked on the floor....

GAHHHAHAHAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

"I thibk I heard something..." Yoseop commented as he fed Buddy.

"You mean a woman's scream?" Jun Hyung asked.

Jillane immediately jumped out of his chair and ran towards the kitchen, leaving everyone on the table puzzled. Due to curiousity, they all decided to follow Jillane to the kitchen. When they all set foot into the kitchen, they found out that aunt Kan knelt on the cold floor, looking at Geu Rim, lied unconsciously but there's something different. There was a drawing on Geu Rim's hand. Hyun Seung, being the calmest one charged towards Geu Rim, holding her frail hand onto his chest.

"Dongseng...why did all this kind of misfortune have to happen to you?" Hyun Seung cried.

"Dong seng??" Yuri asked. "Geu Rim is Hyun Seung's stster?!"

"You serious?!" Yoseop asked as he was in real state of shock.

"I never did recalled that Hyun seung had a sister!" Du Jun stated.

"Wait...you guys didnt know about it?" Yuri asked. "I thought that you guys know something that I don't about Hyun seung."

"Pipe down for a while...she's not dead. Just sleep dead...." Jun Hyung said as he slowly observed Geu Rim's current state. "Wait...that mark..."

"Let me have a look," Du Jun said as he grabbed her arm slowly, "it was Skull's work."

"Skull...you'll pay for this!" Hyun Seung said under his breath angrily as his hand was balled in a fist, surrouded by ice.

*timeskip*

"Oppas...should we just proceed with our plans? I know we shouldn't because...without all of us here, they would not be able to fend off the demon that easily...you know what I mean?" Yuri said as she lied on the bed.

"I guess so...I mean...there's no time left for us to loiter around," Gi Kwang rrplied as he sat on the cold floor.

"Yeah, I agree...we should negotiate with them by tomorrow and redo the planning before its too late!" Jun Hyung said as he was reading a strategy handbook while lying on the mattress.

"We gotta rest now...nights, guys...and of course, Buddy too," Yoseop said as he curled into his sleep.

"Good night, oppas," Yuri said as she closed her eyes.

Meanwhile...

"Is my sister going to be alright?!" Hyun Seung said as he was scared about the consequences of losing someone beloved.

"She's just plunged into a sleeping spell. We don't have much time...we gotta reconcile with them and fight the Core tomorrow," Du Jun explained, while aunt Kan looked at them, with a horrifed expression.

"We would be facing a bad omen if you guys were to fight tomorrow...because the absorption of the Utopia field isn't stable currently...it's percentage was currently rising and sinking like crazy," Aunt Kan said as she looked at Geu Rim. "You might get absorbed too, ifyou are not careful. Only fight in the third day will give you the best result. I promise, eventhough we never faced this kind of situation before."

"But!" Hyun Seung manged to say but was interrupted by Dong Woon.

"Aunt Kan's right, we shouldn't take risks now," Dong Woon assured. "ALRIGHT...we shall rest up for the day!"
