Summary:

Jimin is honestly a mess.
Notes:

Hi. Just wanna say I love u guys. Also I really hope that when if there's an interaction between Tae and Jimin's dad that is isn't confusing bc Taehyung-Taehyun are waaaay too similar. I will try to avoid interactions at all costs.
Chapter Text
Jimin walks into his dads house after walking his friends to the bus stop. "Dad?" He calls out with a scowl on his face.

"Huh?" A voice asks. "Jiminie? Is that you?"

"Dad?" Jimin walks further into the house, entering the dark bedroom. He flips the light switch on and is met by the sight of his sobbing father. "What the hell, Dad?" Jimin groans.

"Jiminie." His father sobs.

"Are you drunk again?" Jimin eyes the old cartons of Chinese food and empty liquor bottles littering his father's nightstand.

"I just had a little." His father slurs. "I was depressed."

"Depressed over what?"

"Over how much I missed you." His father sniffles. Jimin lets out a humorless laugh.

"You're a mess." He sighs. "Come on, lets just get you ready for bed." Jimin shakes his head, pulling his father into a laying position.

"Thank you. I'm sorry." His father apologizes.

"It's fine. Just go to bed, alright? I'll see you in the morning." Jimin says. He takes his father's hand in his for a moment before silently exiting the room, making sure to turn the light off before he goes.

He re-enters the living room and looks around. It's just as much of a mess in here as it is in his father's bedroom. Sighing, he gets to cleaning. He's pretty much used to this by now. This is what he comes home to every weekend. Emphasis on home.

A few years ago, Jimin and his family were happy. At least he tried to think they were. He could see all the signs, but when his parents got a divorce, it was devastating. He can remember it all like it was yesterday.

His father was caught cheating on his mother, but the problems ran deeper than that. The reason his father even did that in the first place was because of his mother. Jimin's mother had fallen out of love a long time ago, and was only staying with his father for her son's sake. So when she found out about the cheating, she wasn't as much sad as she was excited for an opportunity to get out of the marriage. Jimin's father had begged and pleaded, and explained that the only reason he cheated was because he wanted to feel loved again, but his mother wasn't having it. They divorced and their home was broken.

And now things are like this. Jimin's father lives in a shithole on the edge of town, living paycheck to paycheck while his mother's company has taken off. She's living the lavish life with her new boyfriend, Hyuk, who Jimin hates more than he can explain.

And, to be honest, even though his father was the one who cheated, he loves him more. Jimin can understand his father's reasoning, although he really shouldn't have done it. It just seemed like his mother wouldn't even try to work things out.

The day she signed those papers, Jimin lost a lot of respect for her. All she cares about is her boyfriend, her business, and her big ass house. Honestly, Jimin feels more at home in his dad's shack than he does at his mom's place.

And that's why, even as he's cleaning up stinky old noodles and empty liquor bottles, he's a little happier than he was yesterday. He gets to stay with his dad for the weekend, and that's all that matters.

After he's finished with that mess, he heads to his room. A feeling of relief washes over him as he closes his bedroom door to see all of the things he treasures the most decorating the walls and shelves in his tiny bedroom. This is home.

Peeling off his shirt and pants, he pulls on some clean pajamas and plops himself down onto his bed, pulling out his journal.

"What happened today?" Jimin asks himself in a sigh. "I met that weird kid. Jeon Jungkook." Jimin says to himself, jotting that down.

"The nerve of that kid..." Jimin shakes his head. He's not used to losing like that. He felt so frustrated, and that's why he's so adamant about getting a reaction out of him. Anger, humiliation, tears. Anything will suffice. He just doesn't want some coconut headed kid to think he can push him around like that.

Jimin wasn't always like this. He used to be a good kid, but you know what a divorce does to a person. He struggled with his identity after that. He struggled wondering who's side he should take. It was hard on him. That's why he turned to being a bully. He felt inferior, and wanted to feel powerful. It's as simple as that.

He's fully aware that people talk about him behind his back. He's heard the rumors. The ones about him sleeping around and blackmailing people for sex. None of that is true. Sure, he's slept with a few people, but hasn't everyone? He's just an easy target, because he gets upset at those types of things, giving people exactly what they want.

"That's enough for now." Jimin says to himself, putting his journal away. He lays down, turning off his lamp, and forces himself to go to sleep.

He thought that would help him escape from the shitty day he had, but he was very, very wrong.

That kid... Jimin thinks to himself. Jeon Jungkook is weird. He's weird and makes Jimin extremely angry. Why didn't he react? He barely batted an eye. That's must be complete bullshit... right?

"He can't really be that emotionless..." Jimin frowns. "Agh." He shakes his head. He needs to figure something out. Something he can do to that Jungkook kid to crush his soul.

But what?

Not able to come up with anything, Jimin falls asleep.

-

"Jimin. You're short." Jungkook tells Jimin.

"No I'm not. Leave me alone." Jimin whimpers.

"You're short, and you know what else? Nobody will ever love you." Jungkook laughs evilly.

"T-that's not true!" Jimin cries.

"And you know what else?"

"What?"

"I curse you with coconut hair forever!" Thunder cracks, and the darkness around them lights up. Jungkook grows and distorts into a monster, who's only purpose is to laugh at Jimin and his miserable life.

"You'll end up just like your father. A poor, forgotten drunk. You'll end up alone, just like him." Jungkook cackles.

Jimin can feel himself shaking with tears. It feels too real. It feels all too real...

Jimin jerks awake. He's trembling. He brings a hand up to his face. Is he crying?

"Fuck." Jimin whispers. He glances at his alarm clock as he wipes his wet eyes. It's six thirty. He has a feeling he won't be able to fall back asleep anytime soon, so he gets up, pulls on a hoodie and some jeans, and heads out.

Whenever Jimin has nightmares, he likes to take a walk. It helps to calm himself down. He's able to clear his mind without having people surrounding him.

"Since I'm alone..." Jimin looks around to see no sign of any people. He also enjoys singing from time to time, but he hates singing in front of people. So now his the perfect opportunity to let it all out.
