We were all sitting at the restaurant as our dinners were served. Everyone began eating, while I stared at the wrappings around my burn that Carter perfectly applied even with the constantly moving car and arguing with me. I was impressed.

"Bella?" I flinched when seeing Clark staring at me with worry in his eyes, "You okay?" I nodded with a smile before picking up my fork to begin eating although I didn't have much of an appetite.

"I don't understand you. You're rich, can get anything you want here, and can buy the most fancy meal here but here you are eating a salad." Carter judged me hard with those eyes and I sighed as I stabbed my fork into a piece of lettuce.

"Excuse you. If I want to eat a salad then I shall do what I want. Why are you so controlling? It's not like we're dating" I scoffed when taking another bite and Carter scoffed louder.

"You wish" He mumbled before taking a bite of a shrimp.

"Hm? You wanna repeat that?" I clanked my fork loudly onto my plate and leaned in closer to Carter to be intimidating.

"Guys Please!" Clark raised his voice catching both mine and Carter's attention. "I swear to the holy goat on the pilgrims thumb that if you start arguing one more time tonight that I'm gonna lock you two in a room together and make you two stay there for hours until you two learn to get along with each other!" Clark motioned his knife furiously at us and Jessica grabbed his arm gently to make him look at her. She smiled and he immediately melted at the sight of her.

I rolled my eyes before sitting back. Away from Carter, and began stuffing my face to quickly finish my food so we could leave.

We entered the gym where the music was so loud that it shook the floor, it was dark, but the rainbow lights shot across the room adding just enough light to see other humans. Every student at the dance bobbed in place with their friend groups and partners, some grinding (Which I avoided at all costs) While others danced with each other. Jessica and Clark immediately joined hands and ran off near the crowd to start goofing off as they danced. I sighed, now I was stuck with the sexy beast beside me. Oops, I forgot to say RUDE in that title.

"I'm going to go pee" I sighed when turning to leave, but Carter caught my wrist so I turned to look at him.

"Is it urgent?"

"No-"

"Good, then you can wait" Carter pulled me and I had no choice but to follow as he dragged me near the wall where no one was.

"Bella! HI!" A few girls saw me and excitedly waved. I smiled and waved back. Then many girls started realizing the hunk of eye candy beside me and were watching like stalking seagulls after a cheeto. I cringed.

"We should-" I looked up at Carter to ask if we could disperse from this area where people wouldn't constantly stare, but he intertwined his fingers with mine making me examine how his fingers glided in between mine and held my hand, in the most gentle way I've ever seen him handle me. I blushed at him when he smiled in a way I haven't seen before, and he began swaying side to side, while guiding my arms to have me do the same. Suddenly, I forgot about the fan girls watching us. The music died out like a fire on a candle, and suddenly all my focus was on him.

Thoughts began to spring in my mind. One after the other, asking how I felt about this man.

Was it a crush? No...

Do I like him too much where I'm secretly a fan girl myself? No...

Do I see him as a brother- Welp, too may thoughts have popped up that a sister would not think of her brother...So that's a definite no.
