George Martin

After 2 years of knowing he has a daughter, nothing changed much. George still  has his excellent career, and his parents actually told him to adopt Lucy legally. and he did excactly that.

Was he happy? it's complicated. he missed 12 years of his daughter. he's angry towards Maria, for not letting him know about this. He was angry at himself, because of how he treated Maria that day. 

after Maria, he met a girl, Sheena and fell in love with her. he doesn't know that it  can happen twice, but he still happy to met her, She gave him 2 beautiful sons, Giles and Greg. and he's happy, no one actually opposed towards their relationship, and they live together in a big house have a peaceful family. 

well, it is peaceful, but of course after knowing the existence of Lucy, there's always question popping in his head and no one can answer it. 

that day, when he  sees his first love leaving their daughter confused, crying and scared in a foreign place, George tries to contact her, 'why, why now? what happened?' 

but then he sees a letter with is name on it 

Dear George, 

Her name is Lucy and she's your daughter. after my trip going back to Indonesia, i found out that i'm carrying your child. and let me be honest with you, i've never wanted her. i lost my family because of her, because of you. my family turn their back on me, refuses to acknowledge me as their relative. and so i left. Luckily, i met someone. his name is Joko and i love him. at first, i decided to abort this baby, then Joko tells me to keep the baby and so i did because i love him. i gave birth to her, and named her Lucy. i thought  i'll love her when i see her face for the first time, but no, that'll never happen 

her face, her eyes reminds me of my pain you caused. when i'm pregnant i think she knows that i hate her, so she chose stay of my sight, but then when Joko and Arianne seemed really liked her, my hatred towards her seemed to be multiplied. Joko decided to give her luxury that i've never got. he gave her violin, piano and other things. and you must be thinking 'what does this girl did to deserve such cruelty from her mother?'

Well let me remind you again. She reminds me of you, a coward bastard who broke my heart to million pieces, who humiliated me, who caused me so. much. pain. 

and you must be asking 'why?why now?' you see, back then, i don't have any money, and i don't see a perfect reason to tell Joko why i should send her away. but now i have found it and you'll have to ask that little bitch if you want to know. 

i hope you suffer,

After reading that letter, some of the question in his head were answered. but still there's a lot more that needs to be answered. Who is Arianne? When is the date Lucy was born? How is she survived her mother? What is this reason why she was sent here?

Martin tries to do everything, talk to her, give her gifts, even phsycologhist. he asks to the teachers in her school she's enrolled in when she moved here, and a lot more. but no one knows the answer. 

Martin loves her. he really do, but there's still the strain between their reationship because he seemed didn't understand her. She's quiet, she calls Martin sir or Mr. Martin, she have nice manners, who taught her if her mother never actually never paid attention to her? how did she can play piano, violin, and trumpet perfectly like an expert who plays for 30 years when she's only 12? she seemed to be excel in school too since she rarely got a 80 or 70 in her score. 

Martin wants to congratulate her, he wants to give her more lessons in her music, or even asked her how was her day, ask her about her friend, and surprised that she doesn't have one, and she always avoid him, even when dinner, when the whole family is there, no one can actually get anything from her. 

and so, he gave up on her. it's hurt to think like that, but nothing can seem to break the wall she's built around herself. she was almost emotionless. he never see her smiling except from playing with her brother. 

he always tries to see when she plays with her brothers in the backyard, she seemed happy, even if it's fake, it's refreshing for him to see her smile. and that's enough for him. 

he knows everything will be answered when she's ready. 

and so he waits.
