Hey guys! I'm really sorry that I haven't been uploading for a while. I've had a really busy time these last few weeks and it took me a long time to write this chapter. This is the longest chapter I've written yet! From now on I will try to upload whenever I can. Thanks for reading this book! I really appreciate it!

Virgil and the other explained what had happened to them in the last few weeks. Once they were done with their story, everyone was quiet. Virgil sank back into his chair, shutting his eyes, trying to push down the panic that was pushing up into his stomach. Talking about everything was making him remember the torture that he had been through.

Patton had started crying and he couldn't stop. Everything was pouring out of him, all of his worry about the other sides, the pain of his mental torture, and reliving it had made it impossible for him to forget about it.

He began to shake and sob. Everyone stared at him and then he felt warm, strong arms, encircle his body.

He sank into Logan's arms and sobbed into his chest. Logan whispered to him and looked down at him sadly. He rubbed Patton's back and told him to, "Let it all out."

Patton's sobs died down and Logan could feel him relax. He picked up Patton and laid him into a spare bed in a guest bedroom.

The other sides watched them and once they had left everyone started to all talk, Shyness and Sleep asking questions while Roman tried to answer them.

Virgil tried to breathe, breathing in through his nose and letting shuddering breaths out of his mouth. The others were all talking around him and the voices blurred into the background until he could only hear his own heartbeat. He pulled at his hair and put his hood over his head trying to find comfort.

No one seemed to notice and he started having trouble breathing. His hoodie wasn't helping so he reached out to the closest comfort, which just happened to be Roman's arm.

Roman looked down at him confused and his eyes filled with worry when he saw Virgil, who looked even paler than usual. He sat down next to Virgil and transformed the chair he was sitting on into a coach.

Virgil protested the use of magic weakly, "Ro-" He cut himself off, not wanting to tell the new sides the others' names. Virgil trusted his old friends but he knew that the others didn't and he wanted to respect that.

Roman didn't say anything and Virgil continued to panic.

Roman watched Virgil with an odd expression on his face. He gently put his hand on Virgil's shoulder.

Virgil felt the weight and it seemed to connect him to the world and stopped him from drifting into his mind.

It took all of Roman's will power to stop himself from hugging Virgil but he knew that Virgil wouldn't appreciate the contact. At that moment, Virgil just needed to know that someone was there.

The two sides didn't notice that Sleep was watching them thoughtfully with a growing smile on his face.

Logan returned to the room and ran his hand through his hair tiredly.

Virgil looked up at him, silently asking about Patton.

Logan sank into a chair looking exhausted, "Patton is asleep."

Everyone was quiet and Logan let his head drop into his hands.

After a few minutes to collect his thoughts he lifted his head and scanned the room with calculating eyes, "Virgil, Roman, when do you think that you two will be able to fight Deceit?"

Roman who still had his hand on Virgil's shoulder answered, "I think that I should be ready by tomorrow but I'm not sure about Virgil."

Virgil shot back to the present and glared at Roman.

Roman continued quickly, "I mean that Virgil went through a lot more than me and-"

Virgil cut him off, "I think that I'll be ready in a day."

The two glared at each other.

Logan sighed, "We should at least start planning a plan of attack."

He turned to the Shyness and Sleep, "Do either of you know anything about what Deceit has been doing or why he kidnapped us?"

They both turned to each other and shook their heads. Sleep looked determined, "I'll snoop around a bit tomorrow."

Shyness was clearly worried about what exactly Sleep would do but didn't say anything about it, "I'll do the same."

The two sides left with promises to come back the next day and to not tell anyone what had happened.

After the other sides left Logan summoned his book and tried to read. Virgil and Roman sat in silence. Roman had taken his hand off of Virgil's shoulder and Virgil had summoned his headphones and his phone partly because he was bored and partially to annoy Roman.

Logan couldn't concentrate. Every few minutes he glanced at the guest bedroom and was starting to read the same line over and over again.

Virgil finally looked up from his phone. He sighed, "Go check on him."

Logan looked up startled, "What?"

Virgil rolled his eyes, "Your heads been turning back and forth from the guest room and its starting to get annoying."

Logan hesitated and Virgil turned off his music and sighed, exasperated, "Patton won't mind and you should probably watch him anyways. If he wakes up without seeing any of us he might freak out or something."

Logan left the room after saying goodbye to the two sides.

Virgil started to stand up, "I should probably go too."

Roman stopped him without thinking, wrapping Virgil into a hug.

Virgil stuttered, "R-roman."

Roman blushed, realzing what he had done. He'd only done it because Virgil was warm of course. That was the only possible reason. He couldn't help but notice, with satisfaction, that Virgil's ears were turning pink.

Virgil started to struggle and Roman couldn't help but think of a stubborn cat trying to get away from its owner.

The following wrestling match resaulted in Virgil trying hanging off Roman while singing/screaming, "IF YOU LOVE ME LET ME GO!" They were both laughing and breathless, Virgil was hanging off of Roman's shoulders and his back was hanging off of the couch. Virgil's eyes were sparkling with laughter and for once he wasn't trying to hide his laughter. Roman felt his breath seize up in his throat.

Virgil caught Roman staring and laughed, "What Princey?" When Roman didn't answer Virgil leaned forward and grinned, "Cat got your tongue?"

Virgil was now practicly sitting on Romans lap and had his legs wrapped around Romans waist in an attempt to keep himself from falling backward off of the couch.

Roman was split between pushing Virgil off of him jokingly or leaning forward and... Roman shoved that thought deep inside of himself and grinned back at Virgil.

Virgils expression changed as he looked at Romans face closer then he had before. He gently touch Roman's eye which now was turning purple. He chewed on his lip as he concentrated hard enough so that he didn't notice Roman staring at him.

Virgil shut his eyes and released his energy into his hand and starting to take away Roman's pain.

Roman protested saying things like he was okay and that Virgil should save his energy for more important things.

Virgil didn't say anything and shifted to be sitting next to Roman and snuggling into him, too tired from using his powers to care about being awake.

Roman stayed awake for a while longer than him, trying to understand what had happened between them and what he felt about it.

Logan had sat in a chair next to the bed that Patton was in and summoned his book. He began to read, checking on Patton once and a while.

"Logan?" Patton had woken up and he said something else that Logan couldn't hear.

Logan stood up and moved closer, "What is it Pat-?"

Logan was cut off when Patton grabbed his hand and pulled him onto the bed.

Logan froze as Patton hugged him and muttered, "I'm cold."

Patton fell back asleep and Logan relaxed when he remembered who was hugging him. Patton had always lost any self control he had when he was tired and he probably had no idea what he had done.

Logan tried to gently stand back up but Patton clung to him making it impossible for him to get up without pushing the smaller side off of him.

Logan wondered out loud as he looked down at the sound asleep Patton, "What am I going to do now?"

There was only one thing that he could do so he let Patton keep him there, internally thinking that Patton could have just asked for a blanket.

While the four sides slept, a shadow sat outside of their small cottage. The dark figure smiled, "Oh Virgil, you make things so much easier for me."

If any of the sides had been awake and had looked out of the window then they might have seen a flash of yellow in the distance that almost looked like an eye.
