It was early evening as the two black SUV's pulled up in front of the Pack House. I had called Mason, Ryan and Octavia to help me greet Lucian and Emily. My brother was finally bringing Emily to stay with us permanently. I was so happy for him to find his mate and for it to be my best friends sister was even better.
It was actually surprising they hadn't met each other long before now with Gabriel being my friend and with Lucian's work for the Royal Council in 'The Order War'. I was just happy that she was now coming to join our pack, officially. I couldn't help my smile at that word. After Elizabeth had first used it on me I couldn't help not throwing it in her face every now and than just to see her roll her eyes.
Elizabeth I thought frowning. I didn't know how to introduce her family to Lucian gently. I had told him I had a surprise for him when he arrived. He was devoted to helping the soldiers who had been forced into service by 'The Order' after 'The Order War' ended. I am really proud of my little brother. His work had made him an ambassador for the Royal Werewolves for the last ten years.
During his spare time Lucian's goal is still helping the soldiers. His little side obsession still has been trying to locate 'Mortis Manu' aka. Death's Hand with the information that the soldiers give him. He was trying find the whereabouts of the members of Elizabeth pack. Will he be in for a shock to find out they are part of my pack now!
The cars stopped and the doors opened as guards stepped out along with Lucian in the lead vehicle. He gave Emily his hand and helped her out. The guards grabbed the bags from the cars. Her father had sent her with a permanent protection detail. She was Princess of the Royal Wolves after all, the elite of the Werewolves species. To me though she is my new sister-in-law and family.
"Cliff!" she yelled pulling from my brother's grasp jogging towards me.
"Em," I laughed giving her a bear hug.
"Em if you hold on much longer I may become jealous of my brother," Lucian teased as he slowly walked up to us with three guards trailing behind him. The SUV's pulled around the driveway towards the garage.
I hugged her tighter glaring playfully at my brother, "I may just keep you from him and all to myself."
She laughed swatting me on the shoulder, "Do you think we could outrun him Cliff?"
I wiggled my eyebrows at Lucian. "He hasn't beaten me since we were kids. I think we can run and would fall madly in love with each other," I teased letting her go. "But I think your heart belongs to another!"
She smiled at Lucian as she took his hand completely devoted to him and the smile he gave her reciprocated the same devotion. They were the perfect couple. My brother was tall with black hair like myself and had my mothers dark blue eyes, not the brown ones I had inherited from our father. He and Emily both had runner physiques. Emily had short curly brown hair and lightly tanned skin along with azure blue eyes than ran in the Royal Line.
I could wait until I became an uncle. Those kids will be spoiled rotten.
"These are the guards my father has sent to stay with me. Did you get the files he sent?" Emily asked. The two drivers had joined the three other bulky guards and waited patiently behind their bags in hand.
I motioned Ryan forward, "Yes I did. This is my head enforcer Ryan. He will show you to your rooms where you can get settled in. You can all join us for dinner after that in the dining room."
They all nodded to me and walked off bags in hand following Ryan into the house.
"Mason. Octavia," Emily smiled throwing herself at Octavia giving her a hug.
Octavia broke free keeping their hands interlocked as they walked up the path towards the front door, "I can't believe your staying this time!"
"Its awesome right. More girl time for you and me," Emily giggled leading the way up the front steps and into the house leaving Lucian, Mason and I outside.
"How was the trip?" Mason asked Lucian as we slowly walked towards the house.
"Long. We had to come right from the meeting with the witch coven in Denmark. Em will sleep like a log tonight," Lucian yawned taking off his suit jacket carrying it over his shoulder.
"I hope you won't. I have something for you," I told him.
"Right, your surprise. Can't it wait till tomorrow?" Lucian yawned again walking through the front door.
"No. You'll kill me as it is for not going now," I put my arm around his shoulder as we climbed the front steps.
"Come on Cliff. It can wait. I just got home," Lucian said rolling his eyes at Mason who shook his head.
"Trust me Lucian. You won't be tired after you see it," Mason confessed as he held the door open letting us enter the house.
"Really! When do you want to go than?" Lucian asked looking curious as we walked into the dining room.
Octavia was chatting to the guards who had seated themselves around one end of the table. Emily was laughing at something said by one of them as she sat across the table from Octavia and smiled at my brother as we entered. Mason went to Octavia taking the seat next to her giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Midnight. After everyone is asleep. Meet me outside the garage alone," I whispered to him making sure no one heard.
He was going to die when he met Elizabeth.
* * * * * *
"Why are we outside some house on the other side of town?" Lucian glared at me. "I would prefer to be sleeping next to Em right now. Not sitting in your car!"
I turned off the engine staring at my brother. Telling him outright was the right thing to do. He would take this news well and than help me find a way to tell Gabriel when he got here about the Hybrids. I may need Lucian to help me calm Gabriel down when he finds out Death's Hand are living only a couple miles from his sister. Gabriel is a really good guy and he loved his little sister more than anything in the world.
"Lucian, Death's Hand lives in this house," I told him.
He just stared at me.
"You suck you know that. Playing practical jokes when I'm this tired," he said shaking his head getting out of the car.
I got out quickly running around the car grabbing his arm before he walked away, "I am not lying."
He yanked his arm from my grip, "Really. Prove it."
"They started living here while the pack was at your wedding. After we got back we smelt rogue werewolves in the area and investigated taking one of them for questioning. This normal looking rogue women showed up and kicked our ass taking out six of my men in under a minute. Octavia knows them all from her time in 'The Order'. She can confirm this. They joined the pack officially about a month ago, but you don't get any emotions over the pack link from them. They never come for pack runs. There are eight of them in total and remember the Hybrid who spared you in Switzerland with the scar by her left eye. She's here," I gasped out of breathe.
Lucian wasn't blinking. He just stared at me and then at the lights in the house.
"Lucian?" I worried.
"Their here? Your not lying to me," he asked still staring at the house.
"Their inside expecting us," I answered watching him slowly walk across the lawn towards the house.
He stopped at the bottom of the porch steps sniffing the air. I walked up the steps stopping outside the door waiting for him. Light from inside the house suddenly spilt into the night illuminating Lucians face as he stared at the silhouette in the doorway.
"You won't smell anything different about us," Dora beamed from the doorway clearly having listened to our conversation.

Another Chapter. Another day! I may not consistently update in the future with school starting back up. When I become accustomed to the new routine, I will definitely post as often as possible.
COMMENT!
There is a great quote I keep remembering lately and I do not remember who originally said it or if I am even saying it right.
"I'm not perfect. I'm only human."
I like this quote and I hate it at the same time. I agree that we all make mistakes. Its human nature to learn by doing things wrong. The problem with humans is pride. Society, Government along with some other influences has made us believe ourselves to be superior to everything aroud us. Be it to other humans, animal, the environment or an inanimate object we will generally never admit to anything we are wrong.
I hate it because humans use it as an excuse. And am guilty of this myself and say to you all in the cyber reading world. Don't ever use this as an excuse! Be willing to accept your flaws and faults. It may suck at first admitting to someone your wrong making you feel exposed, opened up to ridicule and stupid because you weren't perfect in the first place when obviously everyone around you is, but over time you will find that you start to learn and change yourself for the better!
Hopefully!
CHAO for now!
