First Day of Painful Memories (continued)

Lira's POV

I still can't believe I'm back in Colorado. The pain of being here without my parents truly hurt. I didn't even want to go to school, but my uncle said," What would your parents say Lira?" I answered with," school is important and that I should go so I can be smart and have a good job." sometimes I hate it when he pulls that card. It just reminds me of how they both died. I lost my mother to heart failure when I was 14 and then lost my father a few months after my 17th birthday. I decide on not fighting with my uncle and got ready for school. I decided to wear my best wrangler jeans and my favorite sons of anarchy shirt that hugged my body. To top off my outfit I wore my favorite blue chucks and my favorite neon green glowing in the dark hatchet man. Then grabbed my bag and the keys to my 1968 Chevy Impala fast back and headed out the door. Boy did I love my car she was a beauty my mother named he Mortisha from the Adams family.

When I pulled in the school, everyone was gawking at me. Which only made me feel worse, because I felt like I was underneath a microscope. When I parked and got out of my car a guy in a jet black '68 Dart GTS parked next to me and said,"hi, I'm Draven Shadows are you new to Colorado?" I answered with,"no, I just recently moved back with my brother." He asked," what's your name?" I said," Lira Reid." Then the bell rang and I was like fuck I'm gonna be late for first hour. So I locked my car and took for first hour and not even saying good by to Draven. Now that I think about it he was really cute, I can't think about that now I have to get to class. The last bell rang when I was on the stairs, so I finally said screw it I'm walking the rest of the way thank god I'm in shape, because I didn't even break a sweat.

When I got to the door I could hear the teacher talk and new I was gonna be gawked at for coming in tardy. I finally put my fear behind me and walked in. I walk straight to the teacher and handed her my schedule. She said," take a seat next to Damon." I turn to see the guy I have had feelings for since I was seven. When we locked eyes I was mesmerized by how handsome he got, but I realized that I was making a scene so I broke the gaze first and the walk to my seat and said nothing to him all class period, because I was pissed that he never wrote me like he promised. I didn't know how I was gonna finish the day with all this pain. When class ended I ran out if the classroom and to my next class where I ran into Scarlett my best friend. We talked for the next to class periods until lunch when she said," we should sit by Draven." I said," why not I don't want to run into Damon."
