Warning: Swearing??

Prompt: you were out on a mission with your best friend, Bucky. Secretly you had a crush on him but you didn't know how to tell him so you've been keeping it a secret for a while now. You came across a mysterious energy force when fighting aliens before something strange happened and you woke up feeling a bit different than normal.

A/N: wait, do y'all even read my a/n's???? Also sorry for a late post again. I've been super busy! But did you guys see captain marvel!? I WAS LIKE A FRICKING PROUD MOTHER WATCHING THAT MOVIE!🤧😭

I slowly opened my eyes to see bright lights shining down on me from the white ceiling above, there was a monotone beeping beside me. My body was sore and stiff, but it also felt strange. Everything I remember from the mission felt like a dream, surely Bucky and I didn't actually switch bodies... how does that even work?

"Buck. You're awake." I look around the room before laying my eyes on Steve who began walking over to me. I furrow my brows and lift my left hand moving my fingers, I sigh and close my eyes. It's true, we switched bodies.

"Steve..." I open my eyes and look up at him. "I'm Y/N." He raises a brow before a smile slithered across his face as he began laughing.

"Buck, that's very funny." He rolls his eyes and I growl lowly.

"I'm telling the truth, Bucky and I touched that object and it switched our bodies. Please believe me." I slowly sit up and he sighs.

"If you're telling the truth... how is that possible?" You're really asking me?

"I have no idea." I answer. "Where's Bucky?" I look around but only saw technology. I could see how Steve felt slightly uncomfortable about this, who wouldn't though? Your best friend wasn't in his own body but in someone else's, I would feel weird too.

"He's in a different room." Steve lingered on the word 'he' before finishing his sentence.

"How long was I out?" I spin around and drape my legs off the side of the bed. It was so weird not seeing my legs, but Bucky's. Hopefully this doesn't last forever.

"About five days." He responds and I shoot my head up with wide eyes.

"You're joking." My jaw drops and he shakes his head.

"We saw you two get pushed off the cliff. We all thought you were dead until we were finally able to pull you out of the lake. Y/N—I mean Bucky... he's not doing to good. Because... you're a 'normal human' your body didn't take the fall too kindly."

"What are you saying, Steven." I glare at him when he pauses.

"Your tailbone is fractured and you have severe bruising on your back and legs." He smiles reassuringly and I bury my head in my hands.

"Can I go see him?" I look back up to Steve and he clenches his jaw. I roll my eyes and stand up.

"Yeh... you're definitely Y/N." I hear him mumble making me chuckle quietly to myself.

"What room is he in?" I walk towards the doors and walk into the hallway.

"Follow me." Steve walks in front of me and leads me towards the room Bucky was in... well... me. I guess.
