Lucas's POV

I starting wiping the floor and anything thing else covered paint. The paint made it's way to the fridge and close into the family room.

Maya was almost done whenever I jumped into the shower. When I walked back out Maya's finished her painting and was laying down on the couch.

"Maya," I whispered.

Nothing.

"Maya," I yelled this time.

Still nothing.

I walked over to her and picked her up bridal style. Maya's hair was wet. She must have gotten a shower while I was in the other one.

She wakes up a little bit, "Where am I going?"

"Your going to bed," I said.

Maya's eyes are shut and she mumbles, "But I'm not tried."

"I don't care," I walked into her room and laid her down on her bed.

Maya's room was pretty girly and most people wouldn't expect it to be her room. Her walls were spattered painted pink, red, white, and purple. I remember the day we moved in and spatter painted her room.

I also remember the day we told my parents we were moving into an apartment together. My mom thought we were dating and gave us a whole talk on keeping our priorities straight.

"Good night Maya," I said.

"Good night Lucas," she mumbles.

I closed her room and walked into mine. It's always been Maya and I. She's been there with me every step of the way. There isn't another person in this world who I trust as much as her.
