Annabeth looked at him with a wicked smirk. "So... New kid?" Leo wiggled his eyebrows as Hazel turned. Her angelic face looking at Percy and causing attention from Frank and Piper to go to him. Percy held his hands together under the table, feeling his face heat up.
"I don't know what you're talking about..." He murmured, looking away. The plastic seats they sat on squeaking at each movement. Trays clashing together from the cramped table. Leo rolled his eyes at his response, Annabeth giving him an un-amused look.
"Seriously?" She questioned, eyebrows raised. Her lips in a small frown as she placed her hands firmly at the sides of her lunch tray. Her grey eyes never wavering from Percy's light pink cheeks. Percy shifted nervously. Despite knowing her since he had been 12, Annabeth still intimidated him.
"Hey," a voice came from behind Percy. He turned to see the familiar blue eyes he had been staring at all last period. "Is anyone sitting here?" Jason asked, pointing to the empty chair between Annabeth and himself.
"Go ahead!" Annabeth said with a smile. Her cheerful tone a dramatic change from what it had been a few seconds ago.
"Thanks, I'm Jason. I just transferred last period." He introduced as he set down the bright red food tray. The metal and plastic clink together, Jason pulling the chair to him. He sat and smiled, eyeing the group.
"Jason, this is Leo-" Annabeth pointed you each person when she said their names. "Hazel, Piper, Frank, and I'm sure you know Percy." She spoke with a satisfaction only Percy could hear. A blush crept up his neck and appeared at his cheeks. His face burning as he averted his attention to his food.
"Yeah, he's in my Mythology class. I sit next to him actually." Jason replied.
"Oh! Interesting..." Annabeth smirked in Percy's direction. Percy felt his wrist burn, tingling up his arm to reach his elbow.

Percy froze. Twice in a day, that's never happened before. He needed out, now.
"Percy, where you goin'?!" Leo yelled as Percy scrambled away from the group. Percy ignored him and tried to calm his heartbeat.
