I know it's been a while since I've updated. I wanted to thank all who have read my book and waited patiently for me to update this story. I hope to keep making updates whenever I have time. Thanks again for all your love and support. Enjoy! :)
"Dios mio. Mamá esto es nuestro?" (Mama this is ours?) I ask in awe and excitement as we pull up to this beautiful Mediterranean-style house.
Mamá parks the car and smiles. "Si, this is ours. Do you like?" "Like it? Mamá I love it! It's beautiful!" She chuckles "Mi haj you have only seen the outside. Come, let's take our things inside. I have a surprise for you."
We grab our luggage's from the car and take them into the house. I thought the outside was beautiful, the inside is breathtaking.
When you first walk inside there is a beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling and a grand staircase that leads to the upper floor in the foyer. To the left there is a circular breakfast room that opens to a stainless-steel kitchen. The family room is to the right with a 5-piece sectional sofa and a fireplace with a smart TV mounted above it.
I walk to the back, pass the kitchen, opening the full-length glass double doors that leads to the backyard where there is a covered patio with a fire pit and grill. This house is awesome!
"Selena, come inside I want to show you your gift" my mother shouts from inside. I make my way back into the foyer but she is nowhere to be found so I go upstairs.
There she was standing in front of a cream ivory wooded door with a golden name plate that had my name written on it. She hands me a key and smiles excitedly, "I really hope you like it mi haj."
Unlocking the door I walk inside, and oh my God I couldn't believe it. It was an art studio, my very own art studio room. It was beautiful; open area space, natural lighting, 2 tables and 1 desk, a wall full of different paint colors and brushes. There is so many things here it will take days just to explore and take it all in.

I turn to my mother and hug her tight. "Thank you, thank you, thank you so much mama! I love it so much!" She chuckles and hugs me back, "You are so welcome" we pull away then mama leads me to the couch by the window and we sit.
"Listen Selena, I know this move is a big change in our lives and I know you miss your friends and that all of this is kind of scary. But I believe this is a good change for us. Know that you can come to me about anything, I am always her for you."
"I know mama. It's okay, I like our new house. And I'm happy you got promoted, this will be good for us." I smile reassuringly. "Well, let's finish unpacking then we can go into town and get dinner, okay." She kisses my forehead and leaves.
