Heartbreak Can/Sanem

Chapter Eleven

(I don't know, but I hope the next few chapters don't seem to drag on....it is a slow pace story. Apologies beforehand)

Deren was right he had to sort things out; it wasn't as simple as he thought. He

Knew that, but it was his stubbornness and pride that was holding him back.

He had to try and talk to her, work something out. In the heat of the moment he had said some things...that could not be taken back, at this moment Can didn't want think about it, but then he couldn't leave things the way they were. It was make or break time...

Sanem made her way to Deren's office and knocked on her door.

"Sanem come in, everything OK?"

She handed Deren the envelope.

"What's this Sanem?"

"It's my letter of resignation Miss Deren, I'm giving you my two weeks' notice."

"What...why are you Sanem...."

"I'm leaving Miss Deren, it's time for me to move on. The internship will be over by then. However there is another issue, I don't know if you're aware but I owe the agency a large amount of money. I will pay the full amount before I leave." Sanem said in one breath.

"Sanem you have come so far, you have potential to progress further. This thing with Can will pass, just give it some time, he will calm down. I've told him and I'll tell you, you both need to work things out. Sit down together and talk, Sanem you can't give up this easily, marriage is no joke. "

"Don't you think I've tried, Miss Deren I have tried numerous times to apologise and explain my mistakes, but he's not having any of it. Miss Deren you yourself have seen how he treats me here. I've had enough I just can't take it anymore. I would have left weeks ago if it wasn't for internship and the debt."

"What about us Sanem we're a team."

"Miss Deren I want to tell you something. My coming to this agency and being able to work here has been like a whirlwind.

I've achieved so much in the short amount of time. The journey and experience has been great, one that I will never forget.

I've meet some wonderful people who I regard as my second family. Just because I leave doesn't mean my relationship with everyone ends.

You know there are a number of ways to keep in touch."

Taking a deep breath, "Sanem you know I have to go to the bosses with this."

"No... Miss Deren I would prefer if this stayed between us. I mean if my position was higher I would understand the need to inform them, but I'm a 'bring and take' girl, they don't need to know, you can hire another straight away.

"Sanem...."

"Miss Deren I just don't want any issues with anyone that's why I'm giving you these two weeks. I would leave immediately but I want to leave without leaving any unfinished business."

"Sanem as a friend, I hope you consider me as one, I want you to think about it please."

Deren slid the envelope towards Sanem. "Keep this with you... you have two weeks, you may change your mind."

Sliding it back Sanem said "I'll think about it, but you keep the letter."

"Ok I'm going to put it out of sight." Deren tucked it in the back of the draw.

"Miss Deren..."

"Deren....Sanem now that we have established that we're friends, please call me Deren."

Sanem smiled "OK Deren... thank you."

Sanem had just left Deren's office, her head lowered when she collided into someone. It was a hard hit and she nearly fell backwords.

That someone was Can, luckily he was quick enough and pulled her up just about keeping her from falling backwards.

This bought her right up against his chest, for a few second's she closed her eyes, taking in his warmth and scent before realisation hit her and she jumped away.

"I'm sorry I wasn't looking...."

"Next time keep your eyes open and concentrate on what you are doing. Maybe then you won't crash into everyone. If you ..."

He'd noticed in the last few weeks that the same had happened, she'd been bumping into everyone left, right and centre.

She just walked away without waiting for him to finish. This made him furious ....

"Miss Aydin don't you dare walk away ..."

"Miss Aydin....." he said a little louder.

Sanem continued walking she'd had enough let him do what he wants...

"SANEM." Can almost shouted.

With this she turned around and took a few steps towards him.

Coming face to face she said "Mr Divit I walked away, what are you going to do... fire me?"
