Today wasn't a great day. Period.

After what felt like forever, the fight seemed to wane down. It seemed that instead of staying and fighting, they decided to run. (Y/n) looks at the pipe, she mostly used it for blocking. Occasionally, she'd actually hit someone, but it's not like she felt comfortable with wielding it.
She sighs, looking around for Law and wondering if Kid has made it back yet. It's been awhile since he left. Instead of her finding her friend, he comes up behind her and places a hand on her shoulder. She turns and looks over at him, a relief written all over her face.
"You act like I couldn't handle myself," he smiles, the sword hidden inside the colorful sheath. Her eyes observe his body, he's been nicked a few times, but nothing serious. Any blood that had been drawn has already dried. "You, on the other hand, once I saw Kid leave, I thought you were going to be killed instantly. You're lucky Ace was there."
"You got his name? When?" she looks around the room, eyes landing on the black-haired man talking to a group of men, laughing. She didn't even notice him leave once the battle ended.
"He was the one who told me where you were," he flicks her forehead before he looks over her head. "There's the other man I thought would be dead."
She follows his gaze, Kid. Her heart starts to beat faster for some unknown reason. She hadn't realized it, but she was actually worried about him when he left. Sure, she was more worried about her own safety, but she was scared of the possibility of loosing him.
The red-haired male stops by Ace, they seem to be having a serious conversation. (Y/n) and Law approach them, "As much as it pains me to say this, thanks for your help, man."
"No, thank you for your help," Ace smiles, his freckles suddenly becoming more apparent to (Y/n). "They seemed very surprised when we stormed the place thanks to you. I think that's what got them. So I appreciate you for being here."
"If it weren't for you, I'd be dead," the (h/c)-haired female interrupts the conversation, before she hugs Kid. The latter stiffening due to shock. "Kid, I'm so happy you're okay..."
"Worried much?" He smirks before turning to Ace. "You saved my girl? Sorry I left her to be your problem."
"Hey! Don't keep calling me that!" for some unknown reason once again, she feels her face heat up. "I don't-"
"Sorry, not sorry," Kid pats her back, awkward due to the extended body contact. "Now, since you save her life, I'm in debt to you. What can I do to help?"
"You seem experienced in fighting, how about you join our cause?" Ace smiles, it's so gorgeous. She drops her arms from around Kid, but instead of letting her go completely, he grabs her hand. "You don't have to stay forever, but just until we can manage in our own. Also, I kind of promised to teach (Y/n) how to wield that weapon of hers."
"You've got yourself a deal," Kid smiles, some kind of satisfaction turning the corners of his mouth up.-Chapter 14: The Whitebeards... to be continued...-
