Torresiel's view

It was the first morning I had spent in the castle and all I did was wait for my fiancé to come to breakfast so we could eat together. Philip wasn't that bad of a guy as I thought he was. I thought he would be really perverted and mean for some reason but as I got to know him I found out that he is really kind and funny. I loved spending time with him yesterday and would love to do it again. The only problem was, I wasn't falling in love with him. I know it's our first meeting but I feel the need to start loving him with all my heart but, I only felt a small friendship with him. Am Comfortable with this? How does he feel about me right now? What does he think about his marriage? Do I seem confident about this marriage? So many questions started popping up that I had not thought about when I first met him. I should probably ask him what he thinks about marriage just to get a more clear understanding of our relationship. I was in deep thought wondering about how I should ask him until I noticed a pair of feet standing right by me. Philip was standing next to me fixing his shirt making sure it was tucked in properly.

Today was our first full day in the castle and it was the day we were introduced to the servants and guards. We weren't allowed to have a court till we were married but that gave us time to think about who we should pick. So as we sat down for breakfast, a set of servings came out of the kitchen door holding plates of fruits and breakfast items such as bacon, eggs, pastries, and more. The servants bowed and made there way back to the kitchen after setting all the plates down and in our spots. We then began to eat. Philip and I were seated at one end of a table facing each other. We had about two to three feet of space on the table away from each other. I couldn't help but stare at Philip as he ate and how I was going to ask the question sitting in my brain. As I was looking at him I noticed him gently look up at me, then we both turned away with Philip having a slight blush on his cheek.

After breakfast, we both made our way to the throne room and took our seats in the king and queen spot. The thrones were the same shape and size but one had water designs and the other flames. We took our seats, then one by one, servants started coming in lining themselves up by working groups. A man with a brown mustache and nicer clothing then the servants stepped forward.
" Good day my prince's. My name is Sir Fredrick and I am the head of all the staff in the castle. Now I will briefly introduce the staff in the castle." The man gestured towards a small group of people in white outfits. " this is the kitchen staff, they make all the food belonging in the castle and take care of the garden in the greenhouse"   The group took a bow and made their way to the exit leaving no trace behind them.  Another group stepped forward. This group had many maidens and some young men in their teen years, all with nice but raggedy outfits. " this is the servant's group. There here for cleaning, helping you with any need, and running errands for you that you might need" the group made there bow and made haste to different exits in the throne room. " we have our guards too but they are currently getting scolded by their commanding officer. Now if you don't mind I'll make my way". The man left humming a light melody and as soon as the door closed behind him, the room went silent.

I sighed and looked at Philip who was stretching his arm up to the sky. There was awkward silence for a minute until Philip stood up and gestures a hand towards me. He looked at me with a smile, then asked " want to go for a walk"   I quickly nodded and grabbed his hand as he helped me out of the throne. We stood there and looked into each other's eyes until we realized we were holding hands. I quickly panicked " oh! Sorry if I crossed your boundaries." I said with an awkward laugh. Philip gently smiled at me after a second then gently said " I don't mind... Do you want to hold hands?" I then slightly blushed and looked away. As Philip saw my reaction, his smile faded away and he began to put his arm down but, before he could do so, I grabbed his hand, " shall we then?" I said and gave him a light smile. Philips' face brightened up and we both made out way out of the throne room with both our hands in each other. I then began to like this feeling I was having with Philip, and o began to feel confident in loving him.

We walked around the castle together with aw in craftsmanship. Every pillar and decoration on the castle was detailed and gorgeous. There were designs of water droplets leading down to what looked like a flame arising on every pillar. When observing this design I had wondered what comes in the middle. What does the two exactly make? Well, I think the artist had the same thought. As we continue on, there were many things of beauty put in the castle. The drapes, carpet, paintings and even the windows were of great design. As we walked, Philip and I would comment on some of the decorations and what we thought we could change science we were going to be living here for the rest of our lives. But the day was coming to an end, we decided to hang out by the fireplace in the greenhouse after dinner. So as dinner finished ( which was quite delicious) we both made our way to the greenhouse.

We arrived and sat down to the fine couches in the greenhouse. We were about two feet apart from each other on the couch and I was fine with the distance but Philip decided to scoot in a bit more which started to make me a little nervous. What do I do when he shoots in? What if he wants to lay on me? What do I do? We were one foot apart from each other on the couch. Philip then scooted in again so we were just a small distance apart. Our hands were just centimeters apart until Philip started inching his hand into mine trying to hold my hand. My spine got a slight shock and I stood up with a jolt.
" Philip, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what's wrong?"
" what do you think of this marriage"
" what do you mean?"
" I mean, do you like this marriage idea or no Because I think this is weird. I have never felt love for a guy before and I don't know what to do and I never agreed to this at first. I don't even know if I like you or not!"
Philip was in shock. His face pale. He looked down at his legs, " then what was it like for you holding my hands? I happen to like you and I want to marry you. But now I feel like a nuisance. Did you think about how I feel or do you just care about looking good for the Royal families? Being with a guy isn't the issue. It's how you join together and change the land and love one another. I was unsure about this at first too but when you held my hand, I got this feeling that I wanted to be with you and protect you." Philip was angry spouting words but at the same time, he showed sadness. Philip looked up at me with red swollen eyes and said: "sorry, I'll get out your way". Philip stood up and dashed out into the garden.

Philip ran into the forest in the to the west of the castle with an angry emotion spewing out of him. I had realized that I had made a mistake. I didn't know what came over me but I then felt guilty. I actually love him and don't want to lose him. I decide to run after him. I made it into the forest and found tracks of ash leading into one direction. I got a strong feeling as to follow them. I made it about 5 min in the forest and going Philip sitting on a rock crouched over hugging his knees. I stopped and caught my breath and slowly made my way over till him till I saw in the distance, a large creature coming at us full speed. As it came into view, it came clear it was a giant grizzly bear! I looked at Philip who didn't notice the bear coming right towards him. I ran past Philip and towards the bear and prepared a water spell that could flood the bear away. But as I finished the spell the bear made it to me and slashed me in the chest. I quickly executed the spell and the bear flooded away. I turned around after the bear and water was out of sight and saw Philip with eyes filled with tears made of fear. I then felt the pain from the bear scratch and looked down to see three big gaps in my chest with blood spewing out of each spot. Then, everything went black.
