Bad guy

One

Maddie woke up to the sound of her alarm. She groaned, putting her hands over her ears.
"Come on, Maddie." Her mum sighed, "Time to get up."
Maddie sat up and brushed her hair out of her face. She stood up and started getting ready for school.
"Don't forget your breakfast!" Her mum crossed her arms.
Maddie rolled her eyes. "Mum, I don't have time. I've got to be at school early today."
Her mum shook her head and walked off.

After an hour of getting ready, it was time for Maddie to leave. She only lived 10 minutes away from her school so the walk wasn't usually too bad. But today it was pouring down with rain, and she didn't remember her umbrella.
"Great." She muttered to herself.
Suddenly she heard footsteps behind her. She looked around and caught a glimpse of someone.
It was him.
His dark brown hair was wet and curly. But he still looked good. He always did.
She turned back and carried on walking, pretending she didn't see him.
"Hey! Maddie!" He shouted.
She turned around to face him.
"Oh, Elijah... I didn't see you there." She smiled.
Elijah laughed.
"Are you sure? Because you looked right at me." He grinned.
Maddie rolled her eyes.
"Get over yourself." She laughed. He walked faster to catch up with her.
"Sooo... you're early today." He observed.
"Yep. I am." She replied. He opened his mouth to say something else, but was cut off.
"Jah! Jah!" Someone shouted. Maddie looked across the road. There stood Elijah's 'gang'.
Elijah stood awkwardly.
Obviously he's too embarrassed to be seen with me. Maddie thought.
He ran across the road, and subtly waved goodbye to her. She rolled her eyes.
Typical Elijah.
