Hi! I probably already used this song in a chapter, so sorry, but I really love it. Enjoy the chapter!

  "Callie?"

I sigh, hearing Breanna say my name a third time. "What."

"Um, are you sure you're okay?"

"I already said I was. But I'd be a lot better if you'd stop asking." I grumble.

She nods slowly, still eyeing me cautiously.

"Stop that. I'm fine, Breanna." I take a bite of my lunch. "Can we change the topic now?"

She smiles awkwardly. "Sure." She scans the room thinking of something to say. "So, uh, have you decided what you're going to do about Lopez?"

I glare at her. "Another topic."

"C'mon! I'm running out of things to say here!"

I sigh, setting my fork down. Clearly she wasn't planning on dropping the subject. "What about him?"

She grins. "Are you thinking about getting together? I mean, you guys have already kissed."

I feel my face contort as the memory of the day in the bookstore resurfaces. "Uhh I don't know about that."

"But you like him right?" She leans closer, ready for gossip.

I roll my eyes. "The day with him was nice." The only problem was that what I did was wrong in so many ways. For one, I was still with Asher at the time, but Breanna doesn't know that. She would definitely be mad at me for that.

  "And??" She prompts.

"And he's a great person but," I inhale deeply through my nose. "I think I'm done with relationships for a while."

She puckers her bottom lip. "Aw really?"

"Well if you think he's so great, you can have him." I say dejectedly, scowling at my salad.

  She's unusually silent. "Callie.."

"What." I continue picking at my salad. She still doesn't say anything so I look up.

  Asher.

"Hey, Ash." Breanna says awkwardly trying to break the tension. She makes a gesture at me, wanting me to say something as well. But I can't.

All I can do is wonder. Wonder how he's been, if he thinks about me, why he is at our table.

  "Hi.." I say.

He stares at me for the longest time, then turns away to sit at another table. I immediately let out a breath of relief. Thank goodness he's gone, I can finally breathe.

"Hey," She says softly. I look at her. "Are you okay?"

I smile gratefully. "Yeah, I will be."

The day goes by pretty quickly after lunch. I mainly hung around Breanna since she helped me take my mind off certain things. I was surprisingly in a decent mood.

"Wanna go get some coffee?" Breanna asks me as we leave our last class.

"I dunno, I usually leave with my sister." I reply.

Breanna bumps her shoulder against mine. "Come on! We haven't hung out outside of school in forever. I'm sure your sister won't mind."

"Maybe." I say. Just as we round the corner, I see a flash of brown hair whiz past me. I stare at the figure only to realize it's Rory. "Oh hey, there she is now. I can just ask her."
