There are moments of pause,

Moments of immobilizing fear.

Rippling teeth erupting from the jaws,

Awaiting the sweet tasting tear,

Dripping down slow,

At a pace where the clocks,

tick and when it tocks.

Unbearably drifting,

losing parts in this soul.

Thoughts cascading over my mind,

Teetering on the edge,

Burning a path in their attack.

Slowly sizzling the flesh,

Scarring and cracking,

An intention to bury deep.

Within the creases of my brain,

Meaning to leave the seed,

With purpose left to stain.

And the veins of my body,

Used as gateways to destination

Running as railways wreaking havoc in this somebody,

In their stride of devastation.

Whispering tales of lies,

A lil red man atop my shoulder,

Seducing me with lesser cries.

Speaking catastrophe,

While brawling with the one in white,

Begging me to see into her eyes.

Sending me messages no words can describe.

To lead me to those gardens of life,

Lifetimes of laughter,

Lifetimes content.

Red against white,

White into light.

My choices are that.

Leading into fr/l-ight.
