Just Friends

Chapter 5

Next Morning

True stayed up all night thinking about Damien and legend being together. something in his gut was telling him some sneaky shit was going on. back in the day damien was a cool dude, despite them being friends, true really didn't know that much about him.
Damien lived in the rich neighborhood, but was always in the hood. He didn't allow anyone to come over to his house, and he never shared too much information. Besides knowing his mother and his little sisters, true knew that damien had a child. No one knew who the mother was though; damien kept his relationships a secret, so whoever he was dealing with was always unknown.

True had been calling erica's phone all day and each time he got sent straight to voicemail. He was beginning to get upset, she has been doing that a lot lately.

He had no idea what erica was doing or where she was, he just hoped she wasn't on no sneaky shit. Since he got out people been coming to him with all kind of information on Erica; like when people told him while he was locked up that erica was pregnant. He never asked her about, because he didn't believe them.

Silly of him to think she would really be loyal to him.

Legend P.O.V

Legend was sitting in bed watching Moesha and eating birthday cake ice cream. She didn't feel like being bothered today, she was off and planned on chilling all day.

She got a call from her daddy, telling her he needed to talk to her. She already knew what he wanted to talk about. She only wished her brothers and true would mind their own business.

Legend was enjoying her alone time, but of course it was interrupted by a knock on the door. Legend groaned, before putting her ice cream on the side table near her bed. She slipped on her pink cotton robe and her rabbit slippers, before walking down the hall. She sent out a group text saying she didn't want to be bothered today, and somebody was interrupting her chill time. She swung the door open ready to curse somebody out, but calmed down.

She noticed it was toya, toya brushed past legend and walked into her bedroom. Legend was used to this, when they were younger she would walk into their house like she lived there. she had no damn manners. Walking back to her room she knew she couldn't be mad. Most likely she was just worried about her and needed legend to be in her presence.

She collapsed on the bed reaching for her ice cream. "This bitch." She mumbled , lifting her head she looked over and saw toya eating her ice cream. "Damn, you ain't never heard of asking?"

Toya licked her face before saying "I love you too baby."

Legend mugged toya which only caused toya to laugh, she snatched the ice cream out of toya's hands before filling her mouth with the creamy goodness. Now this is life she thought.

"What we doing today?" toya asked changing the channel from Moesha to Law and Order SVU.

"We are doing nothing, im taking a nap." legend replied

"Okay me too." toya said laughing.

The girls soon went to sleep.

This is what true friendship was all about, being able to take naps together and chill without actually having to speak to each other. The girls slept for 2 hours before toya having to pick up her kids from her mother's house. Not wanting their day to end they planned a sleepover, Legend baked two oven pizzas, laid out all the snacks and drinks in the living room and picked out some great movies to watch.

she move her couch back and made a pallet big enough for all four of them on the floor. She wanted to spend time with the kids too, she had only seen them a couple of times.
