imagine Tony playing OneShot

like Peter recommended it to him like “Mister Stark you gotta check this game out its really cool!”

Of course he plays it and he’s super into it he loves all the robots and Niko is the cutest thing ever to him

He chooses to leave the sun with Maize when he gets to that point. He regrows her in the refuge.

The way he interacts with Niko is very nice he chooses the honest answers and he’s so enthralled by the way the game breaks the fourth wall and how he, as the player, is actually helping guide Niko

Throughout the game he comes to think of Niko as his own child because he’s just like that.

And then he has to make the choice.

He doesn’t know what will happen. Should they return the sun, probably resulting in Niko’s death or something, or should he let Niko return home, instantly ending the world?

When the entity asks him “You do care about Niko, don’t you?” he’s on the verge of tears.

“Of course I do,” he sobs, as if that means anything. “I love Niko.”

Peter comes into the room and finds Tony curled up in the fetal position under his desk, sobbing his eyes out. It’s been half an hour and he still hasn’t made the decision yet.

Peter sees the screen. Tony can’t bring himself to decide on this. He goes off on a tangent about what’s the right thing to do: do the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one? What’s gonna happen to Niko if he chooses to return the sun? He knows he shouldn’t be as torn up over a fictional character as he is, but it reminds him of losing Peter so much that he can’t just make Niko do what he’d do, which would be “return the sun, no questions asked” because Niko’s just a kid, even younger than Peter.

Peter mutes the computer.

“It’s okay, Mr. Stark. You don’t have to make that choice. I’ll do it. I won’t tell you which one I pick.”

Tony hears the mouse click, and then he feels Peter’s arms around him.“Don’t look,” Peter tells him. Tony obeys and holds Peter close, sobbing violently.

Peter exits the game when it’s done. He knows that Tony will figure it out eventually, especially because he got the “Rebirth” achievement.
