❝look it's fat de jun!❞ a boy laughed as he pointed a finger at xiaojun who's seated at the ground after getting pushed.
every student surrounding started to laugh after hearing that nickname. xiaojun was surrounded by a lot of people and he felt like he couldn't breathe.
❝is fat de jun crying?❞ the leader of everything went to xiaojun, crouching down and grabbed a fistful of his hair. ❝look everyone! fat de jun is crying.❞
no one came forward to take on his side. not one, no one wanted to protect him from the bullies.

and that was the start of living in hell.

he did get out of the sufferings when he reached highschool as he transferred to another country to start a new life. everything went well, he met yangyang again but never did he blame the person for not saving him, and also had met another friend other than yangyang which was hendery. everything is doing well so far until the person came back to his life.

yangyang walked down the silent hallways with a frown on his face. he couldn't think right, there's so much going on right now. one of what he was making a fuss about inside his head was xiaojun's plan for chenle. yangyang knew his past, he knew how much of an asshole chenle was like back when he was a kid. but seeing him now, he changed. he knew chenle changed for the better good but xiaojun just can't accept it. yangyang can't blame him though, he was the one suffering the most from chenle's wrath and not him. what shocked yangyang the most was chenle not remembering them. yangyang wasn't expecting for chenle to remember him since he was just no one but a spectator back then but yangyang hoped that chenle remembered xiaojun.
not because he wanted chenle to bully him again (although yangyang doubts that it's going to happen since he could see the boy changing for the better good), he wants chenle to remember xiaojun and apologize to him for everything he has done.
but then again, xiaojun too changed a lot. he wasn't fat anymore unlike before, and he was getting a little bit confident with his physical attributes. it even took yangyang a few more months before finding out that he was the fat de jun of his old school. no wonder chenle couldn't recognize him.
❝you know how worried i get whenever i see you frown?❞ hendery, who was accompanying yangyang, said as he stopped in front of the younger. ❝smile.❞
yangyang looked up and forced a smile at hendery. ❝there.❞

he knew it was a joke, he has seen himself in the mirror and he can tell what's ugly and what's a walking masterpiece. but despite of that insult, hendery was happy that he could see and hear yangyang laughing. ❝you should not frown always.❞
yangyang looks beautiful when smiling. hendery may or may have not fallen for an angel like him.
sadly, he's already taken by xiaojun.

hendery may have not been there in their old school, and wasn't able to witness how xiaojun suffered, but he had gotten to know xiaojun from all of yangyang's stories. he could see how much the younger loved him and of course he knew xiaojun loved the younger back but he was mostly clouded with revenge ever since chenle arrived and became a transfer student in their school. xiaojun then started give less love to yangyang ever since but hendery was there for yangyang.
❝ge, what would things be right now if i have just stood up for him back then?❞ yangyang mumbled, biting his lower lip to hold back the tears that's threatening to fall.
he would feel guilty for not protecting xiaojun everytime he thinks of their past.
❝then we wouldn't have meet.❞ hendery said, sadness obvious from his tone. ❝and i guess you and xiaojun are going to be like what you two are now, lovers.❞
as bad as it sounds, hendery thanked for what just happened. without it,then he wouldn't have met someone so amazing as yangyang. and even though he still has a tiny bit of hate towards xiaojun because of how he is acting right now, he is still thankful to have met him.
yangyang noticed the frown on hendery's look and quickly went to give the older a tight hug. ❝but everything has a reason ge. i'm just so glad that we have met.❞
