William's Pov

William decided to take the stairs to Kate's Apartment, because he was working on his daily steps.

The four pizza boxes were making him wish he took the elevators instead.

He also wondered why someone who lived so closed to the Pizza Hut wouldn't just pick up their own pizza, he decided it was none of his business and he wasn't being paid to complain.

He finally found the correct floor and knocked on the door with the numbers "621" on it.
He was getting a bit anxious, because this was his first pizza delivery.

A few moments later, a girl shorter than him, probably as short as a gnome opened the door. Okay, she wasn't that short, William just had a tendency of calling anyone shorter than him a gnome.

She looked like a mess too, her curly hair looked like it hadn't been combed in a week. He had to admit that she looked cute in her oversized t-shirt with nipples pointing out and woolly socks. Her eyes were puffy, had she been crying before he came?

She said something, but he couldn't hear her, because he was too caught up in his thoughts about why a girl as pretty as her would be crying and as small as she is, why she would order four pizzas.

There was an uncomfortable silence for a few seconds, but she broke it by saying "hey" to him. She looked like she was not used to people staring at her and so he responded with "hi" to make it less awkward.

He looked at his paper and looked back up at her quite intrigued.

"Are you...Pizzaloversince2000?", he asked trying to hold back his smile.

"Uh, yeah. That's me alright.", the strange girl said, also trying to hold back her smile.

"Well, here are your four large cheese pizzas with extra cheese on all of them.", he handed them to her and looked at her as she struggled to carry them.

"Thanks, if you could accompany me inside, I'd gladly pay you for your kind services.", Pizzalover said this with a smile on her face while turning around.

William followed her inside and took in his surroundings. She seemed like a clean and neat person and her apartment was decorated with paintings, photographs and art , some might have been done by herself. He was impressed, he liked artsy people.

Her apartment had a homely feeling to it and she had music playing from what he assumed to be her bedroom.

"Can't we just talk? can't we just talk? Talk about where we're goin'. Before we get lost,let me out first. Can't get what we want without knowin'. I've never felt like this before, I apologize if I'm movin' too far..."

This song was a favourite of William's.

"You like Khalid?", William focused his attention back to a dancing girl with her hair bopping up and down. She had her back to him while looking for her wallet.

She instantly turned around at the sound of his voice. She looked embarrassed, but since her skin was a beautiful caramel colour you could hardly tell.

She giggled before saying, "yeah! I love music in general. Music is my life."

They were both smiling like idiots now, when Kill this love by Blackpink started playing.

"Got me all messed up, his love is my favourite. But you plus me, sadly can be dangerous."

A beeping sound came from William's pocket which told him he had to deliver his next order.

"I should be going, thank you for inviting me into your lovely home.", he said with a tad bit of disappointment in his voice.

"I'll walk you out then.", Kate announced.
On their way to her front door, she remembers that she never actually told him her name and says, "My real name is Kate by the way."

He chuckles and responds with, "Nice to meet you Katepizzaloversince2000, I'm William."

"I know, it's written on your name tag.", Kate says while pointing to his name tag.

They both laugh at her excellent observation skills, "We should listen to music together sometime.", William suggests.

Before Kate can respond, William is already gone and she whispers to herself while closing her door, "But I never got to pay him."
