Average Me

Ch. 1:

Natalie's POV:

I see the light. I see someone in a white outfit. I cry because of all the pain I had struggling trying to get out of this tight space while someone pulls me out. I then see other people surrounding me. I am then wrapped around this blanket and brought to a woman's chest. I stop crying as I feel comforted by this presence.

-"Natalie. Thats her name." I hear a voice say.

   The woman looks at me.

"Welcome to the world Natalie," the lady says.

It was pretty hard for me to understand what they were saying. I didnt know how to speak at that time. All I could do was worry about my hunger, and when I need to "GO" (if you know what I mean ) It was only 10 months Years went by... It was only until I was 1 years old I would finally know how to say"Mommy" or "Daddy".I learned how to crawl when I was about 8 months and finally balanced myself at 9 months. I didnt really care about anything except for food, and my need to "GO" or sleep. Those were my top priorities in life as a baby. Im pretty sure those were yours too. 

*At 5 years*

I am sleeping on my bed.

"Natalie,Nat wake up", I hear a voice say.

My eyes flutter open.  It's my mom.

"Wake up, you have school,"

School. I was pretty excited because it was my first day of school ever. I quickly got up , showered and changed into my uniform. I ate my breakfast and put on my socks, then my shoes.

"Let's go," my dad said.

"Goodbye, have a good day, love you", my mom said after kissing my forehead hugging me tightly.

I hugged her tightly. "Love you too, bye", I shouted as I was walking out the door.

I got in the car as my dad opened the door for me. He got in and we both put our seatbelts on. Safety first, right?

"Excited for school?" My dad asks me.

I nod my head and put on a big smile in agreement.

We drove off to my school. After a couple of minutes we are already here in the front of the school. I look out the window and see many kids running around and other people walking.

"Bye sweety," my dad said as he hugged me.

"Bye," I said as I pulled away and started heading my class. I already knew where my class was because I had attended the orientation last week.

*Rrrrring*

The bell rang so I quickly ran to the door.

The kids were all scattered around the class.  The teacher then came in.

"Welcome class," the teacher shouted regarding the children scattered around.

After we got ourselves settled,  we then started to introduce ourselves.

The teacher first introduced herself. "I am your teacher,  Mrs.Theotherside".

"Who would like to go next?" the teacher asked.

Of course me being so excitedly eager,  I just had to go and introduce myself first out of the students.

"Hello I'm Natalie , " I said with a smile.

" Hello Natalie,  thank you for your introduction, who is next?"

I nodded and smiled. Everyone then started introducing themselves. As soon as we were done with our lessons of learning the basics such as the alphabet and numbers,  we had our recess. Everyone ran along with their friends and I was alone. As I was looking at all the kids laughing and playing together,  I felt a bit lonely and wanted to make a friend.  There was this one girl that caught my eye.  I don't think she was in the same class as me but no one was around her so I decided I should make her my first new friend.  Maybe even my best friend.

I walked up to her, "Hello,  I am Natalie,  wanna be friends?"

"Sure,  I'm Nikki" she replied with a smile.  She had such a wonderful and I was glad to be the one to see,and make that smile on her face.  I smiled back and nodded.

"Thank you," I replied. 

We then both started getting along really well and getting to know more about each other. Of course we were just really young so there wasn't really anything big to talk about.  We got closer each and every day. We considered each other as best friends. I felt so glad to have her as my first best friend. Everyday we would hang out together and just play.  We would have so much fun.

*3rd week of school*

Nikki and I would always meet in front of the area where the parents drop, us kids,  off to school. I waited for her for about 5 minutes yet she still wasn't here yet. I saw her car but I was thinking it wasn't her because no one got out of it.  Suddenly I hear footsteps behind me.

"Boo! " someone jumps on my back and scares me.

I jumped and screamed.  As I turn around, I see Nikki standing there smiling and laughing.

" HI! " she said while laughing.

" You scared me!!! " I shouted at her while laughing.

She got kinda scared when I shouted so she backed away.

" Sorry.. " she muttered.

" Aww it's ok.  You are still my best friend."

I walk over to her and pull her in for a hug.  I could feel her smile as we hug.  I smile with that feeling.  We pull away and start heading to class.  We both go in our classes after we hug.  I opened the door and walked into the classroom.  I took my seat.

" Good morning class, " the teacher greeted.

" Good morning Mrs. Theotherside, " the class replied.

We started doing our lessons and listened to the teacher.  I miss Nikki already I wonder what she is doing.
