Chanel POV:

I tried to sneak in but Miguel caught me and called me over.

"What are you doing here Chanel? "

"I just need to be here for a couple of hours or less."

"Need? Is everything at home fine?"

I nodded my head yes.

"Fine, the bar is filled so sit at an empty table. I will call Andrew and see if he can come tonight."

"What about Rick?"

"He's out riding in the mountains somewhere."

I sat at an empty table. A guy not too far from me was making a lot of noise with too older women. They were so obnoxious. I turned them out for two songs but they only got louder. Now one of the girls was on him.

The third song came to an end. I wondered if he would play another. Instead of him filling my dreams he walked off stage to talk to the guy who was very drunk now. Maybe he will finally tell him to shut up. I saw him push one of the girls off of him. I couldn't get mad at him the woman should have known he was like that. Isn't she old enough to know its not good to throw herself at younger guys? He seemed like he was taking him out....good. Before they had a chance to leave Andrew walked in.

"Chanel! You do not suppose to be here."

He placed both hands on his hips.

"I know I know I'm sorry to worry you. Don't be mad."

"I'm not mad at you."

I wanted to get up and hug him I haven't seen him in almost three weeks now. The obnoxious guy from earlier wobbled over to Andrew. He said something but I couldn't understand him. He pushed Andrew so hard he fell down. What was his problem?  Was he talking to me or Andrew? He stood there staring at me. His eyes were... different. His eyes were light blue, light green then gold towards his pupil. His blonde hair was messy from the girls earlier. His suit was wrinkled and a few of his buttons were undone. With all that the man still looks delicious.

His eyes started to wonder, from my face to my chest then back up. The short moment he looked at my body made me hot. I felt like I was topless in front of him. His eyes were locked on mine. It was starting to get harder to breathe with him around. Miguel runs over and tells him to leave. The guy who sang on stage apologized to everyone. He pulled him away from us and they left.

"Are you ok?" Miguel asked as he helped Andrew up.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Ok, you should take her home."

Miguel left and Andrew took my hand and lead me out the door.

"My car is down the street so we have to walk for a bit."

"Ok, that's fine."

We didn't say anything as we walked to his car. Most stores around here were already closed. The only things that are open are the bars. He opened the car for me and I got in.

"You don't always have to do that you know."

"I know," he said smiling then motioned me to get in.

He closed his door and cranked up the car. My apartment isn't far if your driving but walking is another story.

"I'm sorry."

"Why you didn't do anything."

"I shouldn't..."

"Stop don't blame yourself you know I hate that. It isn't your fault you didn't do anything. I could have taken him."

A grin appeared on his face and I smiled. He doesn't like being in a negative mindset so he always finds a way to get out of a rough conversation.

"What you don't think I could've?"

"No, I'm sure you could have."

We talked about whether or not getting a horse for my birthday was a good idea. Of course, he said no but a least I tried. I wiggled on the doorknob and as I expected it was locked. I pulled out the spear key and unlocked the door. I opened the door to a messy couch. It always looked like that she basically lived on the damn thing.

I gathered her trash and took it to the kitchen to throw it away. After that was done I washed the few dirty dishes and put them away. I went to my room and laid on my bed. I tried not to think of that guy from earlier but I couldn't help it. I decided I wouldn't think of him anymore and went on youtube to listen to an audiobook till I fall asleep.
