Marinette walked the streets staring at the brilliant lights of Paris. With her backpack across her shoulders, she headed towards her family's infamous bakery.

She silently hummed to herself as she strolled along the sidewalk, thinking of new designs she could make.

The sounds of a trash can falling over distract her from her thoughts, and she looks towards the alley as a figure in black walks out.

Instead of cowering back, she straightens her back and puts her hand in her purse, making sure her kwami is ready for action. Although instead of an akumatized victim, or a robber, a familiar figure with shaggy blond hair, and bright green inhuman eyes walks out of the shadows, an amused smirk across his face.

"Well fancy running into you here, purrincess." Cat Noir grins.

Marinette takes her hand out of her purse, and stares at the cat in black as he slowly stalks towards her from across the street.

Marinette gives a small smile, "Indeed it is Kitty. And might I ask what a superhero like you is doing walking along the streets, and creeping up on unsuspecting girls like myself?" She jokingly asks.

Cat Noir dramatically brings a hand to his chest over his heart and mocks being offended, "I'll admit, that hurt princess. Cat's have feelings too!" He exclaims.

Marinette rolls her eyes and turns back around to walk along the street once more, until she feels a warm hand press against the small of her back.

A warm breath flows near her ear as Chat whispers, "You know, it's not nice to leave during a conversation."

Marinette turns around to him and smiles with fake enthusiasm, "I am sorry, Kitty. I didn't realise we were having a conversation."

Cat Noir blanches before smirking to cover it up, " Who knew? My princess has claws of her own too."

Marinette frowns and starts walking back from the leather cat, "Now thats not very-" she starts before a crash comes from out of nowhere, and a bright flash.

Next thing Marinette knew, she was on the pavement, with Cat Noir laid over her.

She squeaked as her ankle made a swift cracking noise, and was immediately struck with pain.

Chat hurriedly looked over her for injuries, and sees her ankle at a weird angle.

He gasps and reaches for it, trying to inspect it, but is interrupted when Marinette grabs a peice of his blond hair pulling his head up.

"Ow!" He shouts quietly.

Marinette cringes, "Sorry, Kitty, but there is an akumatized villain over there." She points to a man shooting fire from a cane, "And I think Paris needs you more than I do."

Cat Noir frowns reluctantly, knowing she is right, and then he gently picks her up in his arms and shoots off the ground using his baton. When he finally seems satisfied with the building he picked, he sets her down with care and places a hand on her cheek.

"Wait here for me after I'm done," he waits until she nods her head, and he releases his hold on her face and stands. He walks over to the edge and is about to launch off, but her voice distracts him.

"Cat," Marinette says, "kick his ass."

He smirks and falls backward off the building landing gracefully on the ground.

When Marinette thinks hes out of sight, she opens her purse, and Tikki flies out.

"Marinette! Is your ankle okay?" She asks worriedly.

Marinette shakes her head and stands on one foot, "It doesn't matter, Cat Noir needs Ladybug. I can mope about it later." She laughs.

Tikki sighs at her stubbornness and holds her breath as Marinette cries into the night, "Tikki, spots on!"

Ladybug threw her yoyo, and launched over to where the smoke was coming from. She landed gracefully to where she saw Chat Noir fighting the flaming akumatized vitcim with his baton.

"Sorry I'm late." She smirks.

Chat Noir smiles as he whacks the villain over the head, "No need to be sorry M'lady. I had it all covered."

Ladybug laughs as the man sents a bit of fire flying at Chat Noir butt, making him squeak, "I'm sure you did. Let's get this over with." She rolls her eyes.

...

"Pound it."

Ladybug and Cat Noir smile at another victory, and they walk over to the man.

"What happened? Where am I? Is that you Ladybug? Cat Noir?" He says quickly.

Ladybug crouches in front of him and reaches out a hand to help him up, "Everything's okay now. Would you like help getting home?" She asks sweetly as they both stand.

The man seems to relax a bit with her comforting words, "Thank you, but I'm okay. Thanks for, you know, stopping me from destroying Paris."

Cat Noir laughs, "Not a problem," he throws his arm over Ladybug, "It's our jobs."

Ladybug steps out of his hold as her earrings beep, "Gotta go, catch you later Chat."

Chat smiles at her with adoration, "Bye bye bugaboo."

She rolls her eyes at the name and launches her yoyo at a building and waves goodbye.

When she finally reaches the building Chat stashed her at, she says, "Tikki, spots off."

Tikki flies out of her earrings and stops in front of her face, "Good job Marinette! Another akumatized villain stopped!"

Marinette sighs and sits down rubbing her throbbing ankle, "But definitely not the last. Stupid Hawkmoth making my life more difficult by hiding."

Tikki giggles, "Well it would be boring if you knew where he was."

Marinette groans, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I'm tired. When is that Kitty gonna get here?"

As if summoned by his name, Chat Noir lands on the roof and strolls over to Marinette on the ground.

He grimaces at her swollen ankle, "Geez, I'm so sorry! I'm such an idiot, I can't believe I did that! I'm so sorry!"

Marinette giggles, "Oh Kitty, I've had worse, it's okay. It doesn't even feel that bad, it just looks ugly and worse than it actually is."

Chat frowns and bends down to pick her up. One hand holding her behind her knees, and the other supporting her lower back.

He walked up to the edge of the building and smirked at the slightly frightened expression on her face, "If you're scared, you can close your eyes." He teases.

Marinette scoffs, trying to look confident, "Scared? Me? Now way, I'm fearless. Go ahead Kitty, we're waiting on you."

Chat grins at her and jumps off the building. Trying not to laugh at the squeak coming from the girl in his arms.

Marinette buries her face in the side of Chats neck. Having to rely on someone else to carry you is much scarier than when she's Ladybug, flying through the sky, and across streets, she thinks to herself.

Meamwhile, Chat is trying not to blush as much as he is. He tells himself that its because he's trying not to laugh, but it also could be the fact that the girl in his arms face is buried in his neck, and her soft warm breaths are tickling him slightly.

When they finally land on the roof of Marinettes parent's bakery Chat and Marinette breath identical sighs of relief for entirely different reasons.

Chat gently sets her on the ground, mindful of her hurt foot, and leads her to the door.

She smiles as his carefulness, and opens the latch and begins to climb down, when a clearing of a throat stops her.

Chat smiles bashfully at her and lowers his head, "Sorry about you foot purrincess, I can come back tomorrow and check on you."

Marinette smiles at him for unnecessary worry, "Silly Kitty, I'm fine. You don't have to check on me."

Chat looks up, "But I want to." He insists.

She smiles and hesitantly nods, "You can if you want, but know its not needed."

He smiles at her his eyes lighting up, "Just know that now, I will visit every night until you are fully healed." He turned and started walking towards the edge of the roof.

Marinette gaped at him, "Don't do that!" She laughed.

Chat smirked at her, turning his head, "Well now that you said that princess, I have to come!" He laughed, "See you tomorrow." He winked and fell back, before launching into the night.

Marinette sighed and went into her room as Tikki came out of her purse.

Tikki giggled, "I think our cat is interested in you."

Marinette rolled her eyes, trying to hide a small smile, "When pigs fly."
