The sun slowly sunk below the horizon, allowing darkness to encroach the golden sky. Stars soon appeared, lighting up the inky darkness. A church bell sounded, informing the inhabitants of Godric's Hollow that it was now 11 o'clock. Inside a cottage at the edge of town, Rose Evans awaited her sister and brother-in-law.

Even though the Potter's were rich enough to not work a single day of their lives, and for their son - Harry - to have enough money to last him until he was around 25, they decided not to advertise this. James Potter had grown up the grand Potter Manor but vowed to himself, to buy a normal sized house once he was married. He kept his promise, and on the day of his wedding, he and Lily Potter moved into Hansworth Cottage. It was still a fairly large house, with 7 bedrooms, so Remus Lupin, who was rather low on money, lived there too. The rest of the Marauders had their own flats - Peter had found a place in London, and Sirius and Rose also lived in Godric's Hollow, together.

Rose Evans had fiery red hair,  that hung down to her shoulders, freckles and dazzling green eyes; she was an exact copy of her twin, Lily. As the minutes ticked by, Rose got more and more restless. She got off the red sofa and crossed to a bookshelf. She started searching; She didn't know what for, but it was a habit of hers to read when agitated. She looked over the books - nothing interested her. she sighed and sat back down. She couldn't just sit there and do nothing. She was supposed to be babysitting her one-year-old nephew, Harry, but he had fallen asleep two hours ago. She went upstairs to James' and Lily's room.

The room was cold - the window had been left open. The curtains were flying around due to the wind. Rose pulled the window closed and sat down on the bed. There was a lump under the duvet. Rose pulled back the blue covers to reveal a small photo album. She picked it up and looked inside.

The first picture was of herself, Lily, their parents and their older sister Petunia on platform nine and three quarters. The two ginger girls looked so happy already in their Hogwarts robes. Pride shone in their mother and fathers eyes, but not in their sisters. Petunia had always been jealous of Lily and Rose because they were twins. But now her eyes showed so much more than jealousy - hate. Hate for the sisters who were going to have adventures in a magical school in a magical world, without her. Rose quickly turned away, not wanting to think about her sister. The next page held a picture of the group. Her friends. Herself, Lily, Remus, James, Sirius, and Peter. They were standing outside the quidditch pitch (herself and James in the quidditch robes) holding aloft the trophy. They had just won the final against Slytherin, 240-10. On the next page, there was a picture of  Harry zooming around on a toy broomstick that Sirius had given him for his first birthday. Harry's jet black hair stood up at the back just like James's; he was an exact copy, other than his dazzling green eyes; They were from the Evans side of the family. The next few pages brought back many happy memories. Lily and James on their wedding day, Lily and Rose on entering the final year in Hogwarts, all of the order of the Phoenix standing proud - fighting for what they believed in. And the twins and a tall boy with hair like curtains covering his face. Roses eyes filled with tears as she remembered the boy who once appeared from behind a bush and what he had become. A death eater. One of the dark lords servants.

There was a noise downstairs.

"Lily, James is that you?" asked Rose. There was no reply. Rose ran down the stairs. In front of her stood a man, with a snake-like face...
