"Im sorry, something urgent at home came up." The old man bowed to us.
"It's okay. It was urgent. We understand." I went in the boat.
"It's okay?! It was so not okay!" Kai whispered to me. Kai went in after me. "He left us here to die!" Kai half yelled and whispered.
"Shut up before I push you down the water. You are so annoying." I rolled my eyes. The man drove the boat back.

Ms. Lee closed the curtains and turned off the light. She grabbed her ruler and flashed a flash light in front on our eyes. There was only three of us in the room. She smacked the ruler on the table and point it at us. "Now can you two tell me where you guys have been all night?!" She acted like she was a police trying to investigate us.
Kai and I covered our eyes because of the brightness. Kai slowly using one finger, lowering down the ruler. "Let's just talk this over calmly okay?" Kai said it with a shaky voice.
"Yeah let's do that." I said it with a shaky voice too.
Her eyes widened making her look even more scary. "Calm down? You want me to calm?!" She slowly crooked her head to the left and smiled creepily. "Okay let's do that." She lower the flash light down. "So where do you guys go that made you guys have to stay one night?"
"We went to this one island to find shells. But then we didn't get a ride back until today." I told her.
"Why did you guys go when you guys weren't going to get a ride back? Which island? It's not that island right?" She points at us using the ruler.
"What island?" I asked.
"That island where couples go to stay over there. There is a rumor legend that if a couple goes there together and stayed there for a whole day, their relationship will last long. But you guys don't like each other right?
"Of course we don't!" We said at the same time.
"Well you guys can go now. I'm letting you guys go since tomorrow we will have fun activities and competitions. I assigned you two together again because you two weren't there to chose your own partner. Go."
"Thank you. Good bye." We bowed to the teacher and left.
"I guess we are together again as partners. Hey you got the shell, right?"
Kai takes out the shell from his shorts. "Yeah I got it." He gives it to me. "Here."
"I'm gonna go to my room now. Tomorrow morning we'll figure what's the shell name." I went to my room.
