Brian's P.O.V.
"How do you- how do you know?" My voice tembled as I asked him.
He wasn't crying anymore. He sat on the ground with his back pressed against the wall, staring pointlessly into the darkness, with an empty expression on face. I sat next to him, searching in his eyes for any hope, any answers. My hands were shaking slightly, but I couldn't stop it. I just couldn't. My heart was racing, and millions of questions ran through my head, but I wasn't able to find any logical answer."I saw a statue," he finally responded, without any emotion on voice, not giving me a single look. "It said it. It said I died in 1991."
My breath stuck in my throat and I felt my eyes began to water.
"Fred..."
When I didn't finish the sentence, he turned his head around and looked at me. I didn't feel any fear from him. Only the deepest sadness and exhaustion. But I knew, that somewhere deep inside, it was there, creeping into his whole body, tearing his mind apart. I knew fear. I knew what he was going through. Well... did I?"What?" Fred Asked, building a slight smile on his lips. It was so terribly fake, it made me shiver.
"I... don't know," I exhaled letting my head fall down and closed my eyes. I heard Fred chuckle sadly.
"I don't either."
"We'll figure it out. I promise Fred, we'll help you," I raised my head again and got myself together, giving him an encouraging smile.
His confident grin entered his face again.
"I don't need help, darling I'm good on my own," he waved his hands in the air with his typical cheerfulness.
"But I'm not rejecting it," he added, and made me chuckle.
"Fine," I said as I rose from the ground and helped Freddie get on his feet too. "Let's get back to Roger."Freddie's P.O.V.
"Wait. So you are like sure sure we're in the future," Asked Roger.
"Yes Roger, I am," I exclaimed, slowly starting to lose my patience. "They told me the exact bloody date- 21st February, fucking 2019!"We were assuring Roger now for about ten minutes. Brian told me that he knew already, but when we woke him up, he was so lost, that we had to explain everything again. I told them the whole story- from my escape from the lab, over the waterfront singing, to the shop, whose clothes I had changed in by this time. However, I didn't mention the statue, or my death again. Not that I wouldn't trust Roger as much as Brian, i did exactly the same. I just couldn't force myself to say it out loud.
"Okay. I'm freaking out," Roger announced.
"Now we just have to decide what to do next," Brian said.
"Any ideas?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. By myself, I didn't. I didn't know what to do, I was completely lost. I never thought about what would be my schedule if I ever happened to be in such situation. What a bloody question even is this?!"Nope," shook Roger his head. "I'm completely useless at thinking."
"Rog, no time for jokes now."
"I might have..." Brian mumbled.
"Go ahead I'm listening," Roger turned towards him, as well as I did.
"Exactly dear, opened to everything. Until you don't want me to dance that Hawaiian shit naked on the street."
"I thought you said no jokes, didn't you?"
"Shush dear, and listen."
"Okay," started Brian. "First of all, we know the time but we don't know the place. It would be useful if we found out somehow."
"I know!" I remembered. It was written on the sign underneath the statue. "Mounte or Montre- something."
"Montreux?"
"Yes! How did you know dear?"
"More like how did you know Fred?" Asked Roger.
"I was told," I lied, trying to sound carelessly as usual. "People don't bite when you ask Rog!"
"Okay good. 21st February, 2019, Montreux. Switzerland," Brian summed up the situation.
"Great. We're in the middle of nowhere," Roger grunted. "Plus in the future, I almost forgot.""Let's continue," Brian boldly ignored his comment, and replied faster than me, to prevent me from snapping something back and starting an argument. I was thankful for him. He right now was the only one who was handling the situation and was able to think clearly. I and Roger were just lost.
"We have to get some money for clothing and food, because we don't know for how long we'll be here."
"I may have something left," I replied, searching my pockets. Eventually I found some change, but it was just few cents.
"Okay, even this helps," Brian said as he took the money from me. "Next, we have to find ou-"
"Shit! SHIT!" Roger panicked out of the blue, jumping on his feet.
"What is it, dear?"
"Brian! Fuck!"
"What?" Brian Asked in confusion.
"We lost fucking Deaky!"
Brian's face went pale and his eyes widened in shock, staring at him in absolute terror.
"Oh shit..." he mumbled, covering his mouth with his hand.I couldn't believe my ears. What?! What?!
"How the bloody hell is it even possible for you to lost him, and not even notice?!" I yelled absolutely furious.
"Fuck!" Panicked Roger.
"Brian, how the actual fuck?!" I screamed.
"Oh my god, what the hell are we going to do?!"
"Okay, okay, calm down, both of you," Brian finally started waking up from the shock. "This thing has been added to the to-do list."
"Deaky is not a thing on a fucking to-do list, he is priority!" I exclaimed, not able to calm down. This everything seemed to be just too much and I couldn't handle it. I was stressed out, I wanted to argue, I wanted to yell at someone, anyone. And poor Brian was my victim."Yes Fred He is," he tried to calm me down. "That's why we have to get back to the lab and try to find him there."
"You're not getting me back there," Roger disagreed.
"Fine you hysterical little bitch!" I hissed while standing up. " I'll do it myself!"
"Don't ever call me a bitch again!" Roger shouted.
"Or what?"
"Or I'll-""THERE HE IS!"
