he made it clear
friends were never his intentions
after pushing her away
but strangers
who used to laugh
and live their daily lives with the other
and slowly forget
about the other until there's nothing
not a trace
to remember
no names that spark a feeling in their chest
not anymore
Dejavu when you pass their "together" places
those distant memories that alcohol and drugs
have spoiled and corrupted

it used to be
you couldn't see one
without the other being there
always 2 in that car of his
the blondie and brunette

but he left her
wanted a different brunette
to ride in his car
a different brunette
to touch and laugh with

he messed with her head
and she couldn't stop it
she saw it
but she still fell in love with him
just for him to break her naive heart
to give way
to drinking and smoking
to be reckless and dangerous
"Isn't that what they want?" she whispers
when they confront her
of where their loving little girl went
of where that amazing best friend went
of the passionate girlfriend she was

the friendly ex, the best friend, the parents
they're all left questioning her ghost

a bad girl who turned to playing others
and finding comfort in one night stands
who became numb
to any connection she once had

he doesn't even look at her or her direction
no longer cares of what happens to her
and crossing boundaries
he never would've before

-an outside view
on what this girl
is writing of
and the result of his kiss
