The boys had a few days before they left for the FUNKTION tour, so they were spending what free time they had outside. Brandon, like always, was in the garage studio. Austin was off doing his own thing, which left Nick playing basketball while Zion and Edwin skateboarded.
"What is that?" Edwin screamed out, halting to a stop on his skateboard.
Nick, who was beside him, jump away from him expecting it to be a spider or any type of bug. It was definitely not a spider, but rather a dog. Zion began laughing as the giant dog went barreling towards Edwin, who had stumbled off his skateboard in the process of trying to run away from it. The dog jumped on Edwin, knocking him down to the ground with a thud. Edwin laid motionless on the ground until the dog galloped towards Nick. He sat at Nick's feet and panted, while staring down Edwin from across the driveway.
"What is that?" Edwin repeated, breathless as he sat up and made eye contact with the dog.
"Calm down, its just a dog." Nick chuckled, scratching the dog between its ears. Edwin got up and walked towards the dog causing it to let out a bellowing bark. Edwin quickly retreated behind Zion, who was still laughing at Edwin getting tackled.
"That is not a dog." Edwin retorted, peaking from behind Zion. Nick rolled his eyes and continued to pet the dog who seemed content with him.
A girl walked into view, holding a leash in one hand and her phone in the other. When the dog saw her, it took off running towards.
"Sit, Tiny!" She shouted to the dog. The dog skidded to a stop and halted at her feet. She quickly clipped the leash on it and looked up at the three guys.
"Did you just call that dog, Tiny?" Edwin screeched, finally coming out from behind Edwin.
"Ironic right? He's pretty calm though." She replied with a smile. She patted the Great Dane, who's name was Tiny, on the head.
"Say that to my body he just trampled." Edwin mumbled, making Zion laugh again even louder.
"Sorry he bothered you guys. We moved in a few days ago and he takes off any chance he can get." The girl explained, gripping the dogs leash in her hand. "I heard him barking. I hope I didn't intrude too much by just walking up."
"It's okay. He just doesn't like Edwin back here." Zion smirked. "We didn't get your name."
"Callen," She smiled. "and Tiny here is a children's therapy dog so he should like children."
"Oh that's cool." Nick said.
"Edwin isn't a child." Zion chuckled.
"No way in Hell, that dog is therapeutic." Edwin retorted, still eying the dog.
Callen laughed at him. She could tell he was terrified of her dog. She loosened her grip on the leash and let the dog lay down beside her.
"That is not a dog either. That's a horse." Edwin said, walking off from them.
"Forgive him, he's still mad that Tiny tackled him." Nick replied.
"It's fine. Thanks again for keeping him entertained for a bit." Callen smiled, turning on her heel to leave. "See you guys around."
"Wait, What is he comes here again? Do we call you or what?" Nick asked.
"I don't have a phone. I live down the street at 4638 if he comes back." She retorted.
Nick's smirk quickly faded as she held up her phone and waved goodbye to them. Any girl would die for him to have their number, but she acted like she didn't even care if she saw them again. She outright lied to him about her phone.
