have you ever liked someone, but they liked someone else?
"ethan!" "yea?!" he yells from his room. "hurry! we wanna go already!" i yell. "ok! im coming!" i hear his door close and i see him running through the hallway while putting on a shirt. he almost got the shirt on until his elbow hit the wall and he tripped over his own feet and fell but he's still trying to put on his shirt.
"ethan!" i run to him to make sure he's ok. "are you ok?!" i look around for injuries. "yea, im fine" he gets up. "hey, is everything alright? i heard a bang" grayson asks, coming from the kitchen and walking over to us. "yea, ethan just tired to put on his shirt and tripped over his own feet and fell"
"ethan, be careful next time would you?" grayson says and walks outside. "ok, you ready?" i look at him. "yep! lets go" we walk outside and we all get in grayson's car.
grayson dives us to the beach. i get out and smile when the refreshing wind hits my face. then i see my best friend grace. i smile widely and run to her. "gracie!" i hug her. "hey y/n!" she giggled and hugs back. "hey boys!" she smiles and looks at the twins. at the corner of my eye, i see ethan smiling and looking at grace.
we all sit on the grass under a tree. we talk about random things. "be right back guys, i gotta use the bathroom" she gets up. "alright" i smile looking up at her. she then walks to the bathroom. i run back to the twins. "so ethan...who do you like?" grayson asks and i quickly look up at ethan, waiting for his answer.
"g-grace..." he blushes. i frown and look back down. "oooo! e likes grace!" grayson says and laughs except me. "hey, y/n you alright?" i look up and both of them are looking at me. "uh, yeah. im fine.." i fake smile. the grace comes back. "im gonna go on a walk for a bit" i get up and walk away.
well...there goes my crush...now i know he doesn't like me back...
i look out at the ocean and sigh.
