If I Could

If there is someone who need a time machine right now, that someone is Min Yoongi who driving in the middle of the night after drank few bottles of soju. He has run red lights and do not even give fcuk about it. He know that he's going to get some problem but it's not like he could care about it now. He's been drowning in his own regrets for weeks now. So what could make it even worst?

Nothing.

He fear nothing because everything that he cares for has left. You are everything he wish for but he took you for granted. So you left and he couldn't stop blaming himself.

He don't deserved you.

"Yoong! I can't count the red lights anymore." you chuckles and he messed up with your hair with sneaky smiles.

"Never look back, it's not worth our time anyway. We have a long night to chase!" He would tell you while land a peck on your knuckles.

He glance at the empty space beside him, the passenger seat that only belong to you.

"They told me to nevermind you but how could I do that when you're the only one in my mind??!!"

His tears fall down uncontrollably as he starts to sob harder. The memories of you and him come back to him and without he realize, a loud horn was heard.

Everything happened in a matter of seconds before Yoongi hit the big tree on the side walk with his car.

Yoongi open his eyes and slowly look at his surrounding. His head feel so heavy as well as his whole body, it feels stiff and aching.

"Do you think this is funny?" A familiar voice echoing to his ears.

'Am I dreaming? Or did I just hallucinating?'

"You think it's funny to drive while you were drunk? And you called me in purpose?!"

'Wait. This is not.'

"Min Yoongi! Stop wasting your life!!!" You yelled this time and his eyes slowly searching for yours.

There you are sitting beside him with teary eyes, rosy nose and messy hair. You practically jump from your bed and drive to the hospital when the cops ring the call.

"Why you do something like this?" Your voice soften as soon as you notice he flashed you a soft smile.

"Cause I lost you and I lost my mind." He muttered and you let out a long sigh.

"Don't start this anymore, Yoongi. You should leave the past and move on."

"It's funny how you think I didn't try. I try but you still haunt me no matter where I go. I still see you, on my passenger seat awhile ago."

"Yoongi! This is serious!"

"Do you think I'm joking?" He snap, harder than before which makes you focus on him.

"You got me running circles in your favorite store, hoping you would show up and we could talk. I know it was late but I don't care. I tried to call you on the phone, but you don't pick up. No, you NEVER pick up."

"Oh now you blame me?" you scoff and stand up suddenly. "If you want me to pick up your call at least think about it before you cheat on me, not once but TWICE!" you screamed, couldn't hold your hurt feelings anymore.

It was hard for you too, but the memories of him cheating on you twice still replaying in your mind every single night. As if it wasn't enough, tonight, he decided to drunk-drive and got into accident.

The last phone calls on his phone was you, so that's how the cops contact you.

"You don't know how much I wanted to say, you don't deserved a cheater like me but I can't bring myself into it. It was a mistake, I know. A terrible mistake. Everything in my mind is telling me that it's a mistake and it ends in heartbreak. Our heartbreak.

But you know, my mind keep telling me to try to turn back time and make it all alright because only the piece of you and me will keep me warm all night. Just- if I could turn back time and rewrite every line. If only I could, but baby, I can't."

"You know the answers, so why you still keep searching for it then?"

"Because I wonder if I could find a different answer if I keep searching for it."
