Four childhood friends Tyson, Lily, Benjamin, and Jack had taken a vacation after having their finals. They were now in the middle of hiking. They had already hiked for about 4 hours and now were very tired. They had a long day behind them. They were now in search of a resthouse. After restless hours of hiking without any breaks, they finally came up to a hotel.
"Oww…my feet are aching…" Tyson complained.
Lily, having a lifelong crush on Tyson, smiled at his childish whining. "Come on Tyson! I'll race you there!" And with that, she took off at a quick pace, despite the fact she was tired from hiking for so many hours.
"Hey! Come back here you little minx!" Tyson shouted, playfully chasing after her.
"What is with those two?" Jack thought out loud. Benjamin was probably the least dense when it came to love in the group. He had a good hunch that Lily had liked Tyson ever since they become friends. How she would always flirt with him, and even steal quick stares at him. Not only that, but he also guessed that Tyson had felt the same way about her. He noticed how Tyson was always willing to help Lily, encourage her before her debates, flirt back, as well as staring at her. Benjamin smiled and lightly chuckled.
"It's something you'll understand better when you're older Jack."
Jack frowned, not understanding what Benjamin had meant, but shrugged it off.
The two had walked into the hotel after the other two challenged each other to their friendly race. As the sliding doors opened, it revealed Lily directly on top of Tyson. Both of them were laughing like crazy, not even noticing Benjamin and Jack watching them with interest.
Benjamin smirked. "Guys? I think that's enough."
The two teens looked up at Benjamin and blushed furiously. The two quickly got to their feet and looked away from one another. "Let's just go get our room," Tyson said, trying to change the subject.
"Ok…if you insist," Benjamin replied.
The four walked up to the women behind the counter. "Hello and welcome to the Hotel Larouse. How may I help you?"
"We're here to get a room," Tyson announced, "We're here to get a room with 4 beds," Tyson
"Alright! Here you go! I hope you enjoy your stay here!" The women sent the Black haired boy
a quick smile as she handed him the room key.
"Thank you!" Tyson and Lily said in unison.
"Are you two a couple?" The Women abruptly blurted out.
"WHAT?" The two exclaimed, setting their gaze towards the ground.
"Well are you? I just had to ask because you two look so cute together!"
"N-No…we're just friends," Tyson stuttered. Lily sighed. "Yeah…just friends."
"Oops! My mistake…But are you sure?" The two teens blushed and ran from the her, in a desperate attempt to avoid more embarrassment. In an awkward silence, the duo walked around the hotel and eventually found their room.
"Let's see…oh! Here it is!" Tyson triumphantly said as he unlocked the door. As he was trying to
put the key in the lock, Lily began to stare at him. "…Gosh…he is so handsome…" Little did she know, she began to stare for a bit too long than she intended to and just ended up being frozen in place.
"Um…Lil? Lil? Lily!" Tyson snapped. Lily broke from her trance. "Huh what? Oh! Sorry Tyson!" She said as she began to blush.
Tyson smiled. "It's no prob, Lil. Let's go inside and wait for them."
Lily returned his kind smile. "Yeah! That sounds good!" Tyson walked into the room first with Lily following in close behind. They took a look around the room and coincidentally, there were only 3 beds. Aside from that, the room was pretty nice. A huge LCD TV, a bathroom, and a balcony.
"Uh…Lily? There are only 3 beds." Lily wanted to reply with "You can just sleep with me, My Tyson!" But she thought it would be too awkward for the two of them, so she just kept quiet. "It's ok…I can sleep on the floor."
Tyson protested. "Na-ah, Lil. I can sleep on the floor just fine. You take the bed. Besides…I've brought my sleeping bag with me, see?" He said as he pulled out a light blue sleeping bag from his pack. Lily seemed to think about it for a moment, but sighed in defeat. She knew there was no stopping Tyson from changing his mind.
"Alright…" Lily brought him in for a tight hug. Tyson seemed to tense up for a second, but slowly wrapped his arms around the young girl's waist. They both stood there in silence, enjoying each other's warmth. As they pulled away, the door to the room flung open. It was Benjamin and Jack.
"Hey guys," Jack said.
"Where were you two?" Lily asked curiously. "Oh…just exploring with Benjamin," The boy said. The trio looked at Benjamin, who nodded and said "There’s a lake nearby, we should check it out tomorrow ".
"Well…let's get to sleep. We've got a long day ahead of us," Benjamin said to the group. Just as Benjamin said this, he took a look around the room. "This sure is a nice room. But there are only three beds. So who is going to share?" Tyson cut in. “You guys are going to take the beds. I'll sleep on the floor."
Benjamin shook his head. "Ok then…" Without much more conversation, everyone changed into their nightwear and slipped under the sheets of their comfortable beds. As Lily got into her bed, she looked over at Tyson as he set up his sleeping bag. She smiled and shut her eyes, until she went into a deep
slumber. Benjamin, Jack, and Tyson had done the same shortly after.
Time Skip
"No Tyson! Please don't die! I love you!"
"I'm sorry Lily…but my life ends here. Do well in your life, and just remember that I'll always love you…" A tear fell from Lily's eyes and fell onto Tyson's weak body. He couldn't be dying…this wasn't true! Lily was unable to wake up from her horrid nightmare, and instead, stirred and whimpered helplessly in her sleep.
Out of all people, this woke up only one person. "Lily? Wake up!" It was Tyson. He was gently shaking her body to help her escape from her dream. She began to slowly open those pure, sea colored eyes that
he had grown to love.
"Tyson!" She quickly sat up in her bed and threw her arms around Tyson's stomach, burrowing her head into his chest as fresh tears escaped her eyes, drenching Tyson's clothes. Tyson quickly returned the hug and did his best to reassure her. "Shh Shh…Lil it will be alright…Please calm down." The black haired boy couldn't help but blush a bit from the close contact of affection the two were exchanging. But he didn't care. He was focused on calming down Lily. After minutes of holding each other, Lily's tears had finally come to an end.
"Thank you, Tyson."
Tyson smiled to her and raised her chin, bringing her eye level to Tyson. "Not a problem, Lily. Now I want you to get some sleep, ok?" Lily nodded to the boy and rested her head onto the soft pillow.
Tyson was just about to get off of her bed, until she stopped him. She had wanted to ask this, and now seemed like a good time for her. "A-Tyson? Could you…sleep with me for tonight?"
