Kakashi and Zabuza immediately got to work. They sat there in silence. It was as if there were a silent agreement between the two to help each other out.

Kakashi got to work healing Sasuke and Arisu with the little medical knowledge he had. He was aware of chakra points and various parts of the body from anbu training.

Zabuza started tending to Haku, and every once and awhile aiding Kakashi heal his own students. (Don't ask where he learned of different parts of the human anatomy. I'm terrified to find out)

Sakura was requested to rush back and forth between the two to supply bandages and clean water. Tazuna stuck close with her and helped.

Naruto helped Inari and the villagers fend off Gato and his goons.

Arisu was first to wake up.

"So you managed to stitch me up..." she mused, "how are the others."

"In stable condition." Zabuza answered with a smile, "thanks kid..."

"Hmph, I bet if things played out differently you would have denied caring for the boy...Haku was it?" Arisu pondered, "You really do care don't you...?"

Zabuza didn't answer immediately, "Yeah...he means a lot to me...thanks for...saving him."

"Ah, Kakashi...I never got to say thanks." Arisu said sighing, "oh well, you got us into this mess..."

"Why are you blaming me?!"

"Actually it's Sasuke's...I could've dealt with it on my own..." sighed Arisu, "though...its kind of nice to know...that he'd risk his life for.....me."

They sat in silence before Sasuke regained consciousness.

"Ng...? Arisu...!" He exclaimed upon waking up.

Arisu smirked, "I'm quite flattered to be the first thing you think about when you wake up Uchiha."

Sasuke felt something he never had before as the tips of his ears went pink. His heart beat accelerated and he felt himself become embarrassed.

"I-!"

Haku chuckled.

"This is a pleasant way to wake up isn't it?" He smiled, "and I'm happy to hear that you do care Zabuza."

Zabuza gulped, "you heard that kid?"

"I was first to wake up." Haku stated with a smile.

In truth, Zabuza thought of Haku like a son, or perhaps his younger brother. Whatever the case, they cared for each other.

"Sasuke-kun!!! You're awake!!"

"Teme! Arisu!"

Arisu smiled, "Naruto. Sakura."

"We were so worried!" Sakura scolded, "be more careful and be less careless!!"

Arisu smiled slightly, "I make no promises..."

Sakura scowled in irritation, "Shannaro! You should listen to me!"

Arisu shrugged and stood up.

"I'm going to go stretch."

Sasuke watched her leave.

"Do it Sasuke." Kakashi encouraged.

He gave Kakashi a weird look.

"I meant this may be your chance to get her stop hating you." Kakashi elaborated.

Sakura nodded, "Even I can see it."

"Go on Teme!" Naruto grinned, "You're not scared of her are ya, scaredy cat!"

Sasuke smirked, "Nah, I'm going now."

And he stood up and followed after the Senju girl. Sakura watched as he did so and sighed.

"He's so cool..."

Once a fangirl, always a fangirl.

Arisu sat quietly on the edge of the partially finished bridge. Many people gathered nearby to help plan the rest of its construction.

"Hn. You alright?" Asked Sasuke.

Arisu nodded quietly.

Slowly Sasuke sat down beside her.

And he sweat dropped, she brought her sword with her.

They sat down in silence for a little while before Arisu finally spoke.

"I don't like you Uchiha," she said making him sigh in mild defeat.

"I don't like you but, well, I suppose I no longer hate you." She explained reluctantly, "and...I dislike keeping debts."

Sasuke's eyes widened, she just admitted that she no longer hated him.

Then he smirked, "Hn. I could say the same."

A mischievous glint flickered in her eyes, "And that's why you actively chased me down to try and stop me from hating you huh....?"

That strange unfamiliar feeling from before returned. Sasuke felt a slight heat rise to his cheeks and coughed awkwardly.

"And what of it?" He said coolly, "what's wrong with trying to get someone not to hate me?"

Arisu smirked, "Because you wouldn't usually care."

And she stood up and walked away.

Sasuke sat there for a little while.

"I...guess so." He whispered to himself.

She was interesting, or at least interesting enough for Sasuke to want her to like him a bit.

Sasuke stood up and followed Arisu back to where everyone else was.

-

A little later Arisu sat down in the forest by Tazuna's house. She closed her eyes and concentrated.

This time, she felt more calm meditating. There wasn't a current reason to hate the Uchiha. They succeeded their first mission.

She felt at peace.

Arisu dug her fingers into the dirt beside her. She felt the moist grass and damp but lush and healthy earth.

Slowly she breathed in and out.

Arisu allowed the chakra of nature and her own to flow through her. Dark markings appeared on her face.

She gasped and stood up in a frantic manner. She swiftly unsheathed the Shinjitsu and glared at her reflection on the blade.

Arisu had accidentally taught herself Sage Mode...or at least a variation of it.

She wasn't sure.

She felt herself feel faint as the markings disappeared. She fell to her knees and panted lightly.

'I see...now I understand...' She thought, 'so this is what they meant by senjutsu being the style of sages...'

Arisu knew that she couldn't tell anyone of this. She already had a bounty on her head as Kage, this skill would attract unwanted attention. She needed a teacher.

"Don't tell me...!"

Oh no, anyone but that man!!

He's a disgrace to Konoha!

The Super Pervert of the Leaf!!

The one and only Pervy Sage!!!!

"No." Said Arisu firmly, "No way."

And she stood up and walked back to the others.

-

"Thank you." Tazuna said gratefully, "For everything."

Zabuza nodded, "Yeah."

Arisu and the others smiled.

Naruto told Inari some advise and Arisu smiled.

Haku coughed softly and tapped Arisu on the shoulder.

Zabuza approached as well.

"I...I was wondering if...I could come with you when you return to Konoha." Haku said slowly, "I know I'm a rogue ninja but I was hoping...I could take the exam and-!"

"I understand." Kakashi interrupted, "but why didn't you come to me first and go to her?"

Haku smiled sheepishly, "I...it may be a one sided thing but well....."

Zabuza smirked, he knew what Haku wanted to say.

"I...consider her a good f-friend." Haku said finally.

Zabuza facepalmed.

Arisu blinked, "I reciprocate the feeling. It is mutual."

Haku smiled.

"I'll ask the Hokage." Kakashi nodded, "I'm sure he wouldn't turn away two competent nin-!"

"Just Haku." Zabuza interrupted, "until now, he's been living as my tool...I want him to experience so much more."

Haku nodded slowly, "And I wanted to learn more about what a ninja is..."

"Where will you be?" Naruto asked Zabuza.

"I'll be travelling...don't worry, I won't be causing any trouble. I just need to do something before..." Zabuza trailed off, "I promise to come join you guys in Konoha...please wait for me."

Team seven smiled, "Definitely!"

"We..." said Inari, "we're going to call it the Bridge of the Eternal Hero in honour of all of you and...my father."

Arisu smiled and walked over to Inari.

She dug into her pouch and took out a kunai with a Hirashin seal.

"Keep this with you at all times and if you're in trouble...I'll come and save you...though, I'm sure you'll be strong enough to protect yourself." Arisu beamed.

Kakashi felt his suspicions rise once again at the site of the kunai and its description.

'That...it couldn't be...!' Kakashi thought.

Inari accepted the kunai, "Thank you...Onee-chan...?"

Arisu nodded, "That's fine."

The honourific was acceptable.

And she turned to walk away.

Her comrades along with Haku followed along.

"Missions success!!!"
