Sakura sighed, pushing her food around on her plate, eyes closed as she fought to keep the burning tears at bay.
Its been a month since she has seen her boyfriend, save for the in between visits and occasional surprises that always managed to make her a bit happy before her depressed mode came.
Well, no one ever said that dating the Owner of Kaiba Corps, Seto Kaiba would be easy.
She has tolerated all of it until now, pushed the loneliness and feelings of neglect aside because she knew that Kaiba always puts his company first, even if you're his girlfriend.
They had been together for two years now and Sakura had put up with all the ups and downs, the drama, the arguments, the sometimes harsh words for all those times.
And for all the times that they were together, Kaiba was always too busy, always had something to do.
Tomorrow was November 7th... Her birthday, and her boyfriend wasn't here to even celebrate it with her. That was another thing, he was never here to celebrate her birthday. It was always her and Mokuba. But this year Mokuba was at One of his friends house and she really didn't want to disturb him.
She sighed again before frowning her brows, she shouldn't be here wasting away on her birthday just because her boyfriend didn't give her a moments time. She raised from her seated position and stood, making her way to the kitchen to clean up the dishes and savor the taste of a cold cup of juice.
Afterwards she headed to their bedroom and pulled out her suitcase, pushing as many clothes as she could into the case. She was going on a vacation damn it, away from all this heart ache and nonsense, relax for about a month or two before returning.
Thing is... She doubts anyone would even miss her.
Sakura pushed the last of her clothes into the case, tossing in her toothpaste, brush, charger, tablet and phone before she zipped it up. She grabbed two extra pairs of shoes on the way out.
Sakura swiped her wallet and keys out the bowl by the front door and headed out their apartment, locking it behind her.She made to her shiny sliver Subaru and placed her luggage in the backseat. No sense putting it in the truck sense it was going to be only her.
Sliding into the drivers seat, Sakura sucked in a fresh breath before letting it go and starting the car. As she pulled out of the drive her mind wondered a bit. It was no use calling anyone, if they all forgot her birthday she wasn't going to remind them, she wasn't that important anyways.
Seto, wouldn't even notice if she was alive or not, so caught up in his work he was oblivious to anything else that trying to merge with his company.
She often wondered why, why was she still with the brown haired, blue eyes asshole. And her answer was always that she loved him no matter how mean he was, she loved him.Today though, she needed a break.
"Guess its only me today, Kaa-chan." She looked up at clouds for a brief minute, wishing her mother was Still with her.
"I'm glad you're with me though."She had a idea where she was going, there was a cabin up Okinawa that her dad built for them before he passed also. It had two rooms, a bathroom, small library and two fridges and a pantry. Sakura planned to stock all those up. It also had a television and a DVD, for once Sakura was glad there was no internet where she was going, it meant if anyone wanted to look for her they would easily find her. Also why she's taken off the location on her phone.
It was a good few hours drive to get where she wanted to go, so taking a break was needed. At the time the sun was setting Sakura had pulled up to a small inn, paying to spend one night before she got ready for bed.
