Fresh Start New Duty! (Part 3)

"Ayase, where are you?" Jun was calling out for me.

"Here!" I shouted.

Should I tell Jun about it? Or should I not?

"Where were you?" Jun asked, his eyes full of anger.

"I bumped into some sorcerers. It appears that they have some business here, and they probably entered without much difficulty." I sighed as I reported what has just happened.

"S-sorcerers?!" Jun asked, clearly surprised.

Does that mean something like this hasn't happened before?

"Yeah, sorcerers." I casually replied.

"Come here." Jun grabbed my hand, then brought me to a training center.

"She saw sorcerers, and it appears that they were able to easily enter the realm. You guys know what to do, right?" Jun inquired.

"Tell us everything." An elderly man demanded.

"Instead of telling, I could do something else." I offered with sincerity.

"Something else?" The elderly man asked, clearly intrigued as he raised his eyebrow.

"Yeah, I could show you a flashback of what happened, isn't that easiler?" I asked.

"Then please do." Jun nodded.

I showed them a flashback of the recent events and they looked... surprised. They expected me to be weaker, I guess. I had no proper training after all.

"Well?" I asked.

"You're amazing! Defeating two sorcerers in a go, and even having them beg for you to stop attacking." A kid gasped in awe.

"Don't worry, it was easy." I smiled.

"Then we'll do a bit of battling. You against 5 of my men." The elder said, obviously fascinated of what'll be the outcome.

"Attack!" The elder ordered.

"Earth wall!" One attacked.

"Fire wall!" Another one attacked.

So they plan on attacking me altogether, huh? Not bad, not bad. But...

"Water wall!" Another person attacked.

"She isn't doing anything, did she really defeat those sorcerers?" A little girl asked.

"Air wall!" The fourth one attacked.

I have to keep dodging, tiring them out, then take them out in one go. I really hope this plan would work. Even I'm getting a bit tired while dodging.

"Nature's vine!" The fifth one attacked.

After that, they continued the same attacks in a repeated cycle.

"Tired yet?" I asked, smiling.

"How did she stand all of those attacks?!" They muttered to each other.

"Is it my turn now?" I asked.

"Release, power canon!" I attacked, then the attack spreaded to different directions.

"Wow, in one go..." The little girl breathed out, as if stunned by the sight before her.

"How?" The men asked.

"Simple. Making them tired since they kept on attacking, while I was absorbing their attacks without them noticing, then when they're worn out, I released the power I've been keeping." I simply explained.

"It's settled, tomorrow you will start traveling to the human world. You must look for sorcerers." The elderly man strictly said.

Maybe they aprroved of me already. I really want to be accepted here, I want to think of this place as my home.

"Jun, let's get some rest, then leave at morning tomorrow." I said.

"If that's your wish." Jun sighed.

"I heard that to really make you my guardian, I need to kiss you." I said, but I was a little embarrassed.

"I-it's..." Jun was blushing.

"Then, come here." I boldly demanded, grabbing his wrist and strongly pulling him towards me.

"Wai-" but then I already kissed Jun.

This is awkward. I took a few steps back as I felt my own heart race in excitement. He seemed to do the same as his fingers hovered above his lips.

"S-sorry, but it's not a romantic kiss anyway." I tried to cheer him up.

"Good job, Princess Natsukawa! It also enables you to command him!" The elderly man laughed, while Jun looked a bit annoyed.

"Oh, it's like a dog." I said, feeling happy.

"What's done is done." Jun said, looking defeated.

"Sorry, I'll make it up for you, I promise!" I said, then ran into the my room.

Ah, I know what I did was rude, but it had to be done sooner or later. Still, I'm surprised that I was still wearing a neutral expression and voice. Could I possibly change? Yes, I can. And I will.
