Remi's POV
"Hey Remi," I looked behind me to see Mirae. "What's wrong? Kokoro and May said you've been down lately."
"Do you remember when I told you about Y/n?" I asked her. She nodded then looked at me, wanting me to continue. "Well I reached out to her and I've gotten no response."
"Well I mean Remi," Mirae said. "You haven't contacted her since before you left Japan to train. That really must have hurt her, don't you think?"
"But we were together," I looked to her. "It would only make since if she answered me, right?"
"Remi," I saw Mirae's eyes glisten. "I hate to be the one to say this but, do you think she'd really wait all these years for you?"
I felt my heart stop, she's right. Y/n wouldn't wait. Especially not after the way I left her.
~~FLASHBACK~~
"Rise? Are you okay?" Y/n grabbed my hand.
"No," I whispered.
"What's wrong baby?" She stroked my cheek lovingly, something that I'll miss.
"I'm going to be a trainee," I cried harder.
"That's great news! But why are you crying?" I looked up to see her looking at me with concern.
"I can't be with you while I'm gone," I whispered. I saw the hurt flash in her eyes. "It's not my choice Y/n, please. Don't blame me."
She pulled her hand away from mine.
"So, you want to break up because you're becoming famous, right? And I'm just a girl who comes from poverty?"
"N-No. That's not true," I tried grabbing her hand but she backed away. "Y/n please. Understand that I can't be with you."
"But I don't understand," she mumbled. "You know what, it's whatever Rise. I, umm, I gotta go anyway."
She started walking away taking my heart with her. I loved her so much but we just couldn't be together; the distance and my dating ban being main components.
"Y/n! It's not like that!" I yelled but she didn't listen. "It was never like that."
~~FLASHBACK OVER~~
I looked at the wall as a tear slid down my face. I felt Mirae pull me into a tight hug. I cried into her shoulder, what if she moved on?
I loved her and I haven't stopped.
"I'm gonna go see her," I whispered. "I have to."
"I support you," Mirae whispered back. "Just take things slow if she's not ready to fully let you back into her life. Even if she loves you the way you still love her."
I nodded then went to my room. I started to pack my duffel bag full of clothes. I heard someone come in the room but I didn't care.
"Remi? What're you doing?" I looked over my shoulder to see Haeyoon.
"I'm going to go see Y/n," I stated. "And I'm not asking, I'm doing."
"I'm not going to stop you," she smiled at me. "I know how much you miss her. Especially in our trainee days."
I smiled back then zipped my bag. I swung it over my shoulder before grabbing my wallet. I hugged her before leaving.
I walked out the door then hailed a cab.
