Love is an open door?

They say love is an open door.

I'm pretty sure they lied.

I mean yeah it is at first.

It's an open door filled with all your wants, hopes, and dreams.

You look inside and you see him.

The one you love, the one you'd give your all for.

You think, does he ever really notice you?

Does he see how you look at him?

You make eye contact and he smiles that smile that you feel is only made for you.

He urges you inside, tells you it's okay to trust, it's okay to fall in love cause he will be right there to catch you.

You believe him, mostly because he says he's already fallen for you.

You start getting closer and you see a future made for only you two.

You feel this fire inside you that only he could extinguish.

But he wouldn't. Right?

He must know how you feel.

He must know that you've given every fiber of your being to him.

He must know that he's all you ever think about.

He's your world.

You realize how much you really want that.

You start up a quick and steady jog, falling deeper and deeper in love.

He's everything and all you ever wanted.

You get right to the threshold of the door and....

SLAM.

All your hopes and dreams were snatched right away when you thought you could just grasp them.

And as you stare at that closed door knowing everything you want in life is sitting right on the other side of that door.

You don't cry, you don't scream, you don't bang on the door.

You just stare as a single tear falls down your face and think: You lied to me Princess Anna.
