"Freed! Put me down this instant!"

{Y/n} was yelling, screaming while her fists pounded on the wizards back. Using all her force she hit him, though he just shrugged it off and kept going. They were on their way home now, Natsu and Grey leading and arguing while Freed and {Y/n} took the back. {Y/n} made one tiny complaint about her feet starting to hurt then Freed lifted her up and over his shoulder. Of course this was against her will.

"No, you said your feet hurt." Freed stated

"Yes but I can still walk!" She'd protest.

"Please {Y/n}, this is the least I could do for you. Plus Laxus said he didn't want you hurt." Freed argued. At the mention of Laxus she would pound her fists against his back harder. She wasn't sure what she was going to say to the blonde in question, maybe she'd just yell?

Yeah she would just probably yell.

"This is ridiculous..." {Y/n} muttered, ultimately giving up on getting Freed to put her down. {Y/n} felt the blood rush to her face in a blush, all of this seemingly embarrassing. She could feel the smirk on his face, even though she couldn't see it. Freed had felt he won that argument and even though it was a childish debate he took pride in it.

This time they wouldn't stop to make camp for the night, seeing they had left in the morning there was no need. They could get back to Magnolia before nightfall then she could get back to her own bed and more importantly, off of Freed. Freed carried her the whole way, not complaining once. {Y/n} wasn't sure weather or not he was being a gentleman or she genuinely didn't make him tired. Eventually they reach Magnolia, catching a few stares inside the town.

"Freed, put me down now." She muttered, her face stained red in a strong blush while some of the townspeople stared.

"Aw, that's cute." One of the townsfolk cooed, seemingly having the wrong idea and thinking they were an item.

At that statement she thrashed around a bit, getting out of Freed's grip. She would turn away from him then just start walking to the guild, catching up to Grey and Natsu in the process. Somehow they managed to argue the whole way to town, refraining from starting a real fight with each other and just sticking to words instead. {Y/n} would laugh at this fact before passing them at a brisk jog pace.

"Race you back to the guild Natsu!" She called back, breaking into almost a sprint.

Natsu smiled then abandoned his argument with Grey before taking off after her, trying his best to avoid the townspeople. {Y/n} would laugh then pick up her pace when she heard him start to catch up, the guild eventually coming into view. When they felt they were close enough they would both break into a full on sprint, seeing this was the final stretch. {Y/n} maintained the lead and would touch the doors first, making her triumphantly pump her fist into the air.

"I wi-!" She was cut off when Natsu had failed to slow down, barreling into her. They both busted through the doors and landed on the ground inside the guild. Natsu let out a grunt when his back hit the ground, letting out another one when something smacked his chest. When he looked down all he saw was {h/c} hair, realizing it was {Y/n}. She would sit up after, blinking a few times to stop her gaze from spinning. Once she was okay her face broke into a bright smile, eventually turning into a gentle laugh.

"I still win!" She chirped.

Natsu rolled his eyes then laughed with her a bit. "You'll never let me win out of pity at least?" He asked. Truth be told he preferred it like this, having a losing streak. Each time she would win she would smile or laugh, and that made him do the same. He enjoyed seeing her happy, even if he didn't win. Of course she didn't really care about winning, she just wanted to make Natsu earn it.
