Chapter 1: the date night part 1

It was a typical day at Gar's Bodega, Rad was stocking the shelves with items people would buy, Enid was at the front counter reading a ninja magazine, and K.O was swapping the floors with a broom. K.O, the youngest of the Bodega stuff who would do anything you ask him to do without complaining, he has a long life time dream of becoming the greatest hero in the world, and he is still holding onto that dream everyday. Lately, K.O has been very anxious to leave to Bodega like he has somewhere to be real quick, and it has come to Rad, Enid, their boss and his mother's attention that something is up with K.O, and today they want to find out. K.O looked at his watch as it was close to closing time and saw it was 6:59pm, and saw it go to 7pm meaning it's closing time. "End of the day, gotta go, bye." K.O said really fast as he clocked out and ran towards the door in high speed, only for Rad to catch him with his telekinesis beam. "Hold it right there buddy." Rad said as he levitated K.O close to him and Enid. "Where do you think you're going?" Rad asked as he raised a eyebrow. "Huh, nowhere." K.O answered nervously. "Don't deny it, you've been acting weird since the beginning of the month, and this is the fifth time this week you ran off, tell us what's up." Enid said feeling concerned. "Nothing's wrong at all." K.O said. "Then why do you leave so quickly when it's closing time?" Rad asked, looking suspicious, which Enid did the same. K.O started to sweat up, trying to think of a way to escape as he says, "Well I, HEY LOOK, A MODEL OF A BIG SUPERHERO." Rad and Enid turned their direction to where K.O pointed with excitement and confusion, and K.O escaped from the beam and left. When the two teens turned back, they saw K.O escaped. "Darn it." They both said. Later, Rad and Enid are in Rad's van near a house that is across the street from K.O's house, watching the house to see what is going on. "Are you sure watching him is a good idea?" Rad asked. "Well, we want to know what is going on with the little guy, so I think this is the best option." Enid said. "What are you two doing?" Said a voice, making the two teens jump in surprise. Rad and Enid turned to the drivers window and saw K.O's mother, Carol, and their boss, Mr. Gar, looking at them through the driver's window. "Mr. Gar, Ms. K.O's mom, what are you two doing here?" Rad asked. "We were on our way to Carol's house and we saw you two parked here like you're spying on someone." Mr. Gar said. "And I believe you're spying on K.O again." Carol finished. Enid looked down and said, "We are watching him because he immediately left the Bodega at closing time again, and we thought that tonight we find out what's going on." Carol looked at the teens and said, "I don't blame ya." Rad, Enid, and Mr. Gar were surprised from the response Carol gave and Mr. Gar asked, "How could you be okay with the fact my employees are watching your son?" "Well, some nights he would say he's going out to eat alone, and I figured he's hiding something, and I just want to know what's up." Carol said. Before more could be said, Enid saw K.O leaving the house in the black tux he wore at the prom and Carol and Mr. Gar's date, and he left the and started to walk somewhere. "He's leaving the house in that tux he wears." Enid said, get everyone's attention. "Wait, where's he even going and why is he dress all nice?" Rad asked in surprise. Before more could be said, The teens heard the vans door quickly open and close, and they saw the two adults were in the back sat. "Follow him." Mr. Gar said. "Wait, you want us to follow brush head?" Enid asked in surprise. "Yeah, if he's dress all nice and leaving the house to go somewhere, then we need to see what he's been up to for the past weeks, and I want to make sure he's okay." Carol said. Rad just sighed and said, "Alright, but we're going to drive slowly so he doesn't notice us." "Okay." The two adults said. "But if you two rip my seats, or break my door, or any part of my van, you're paying for it." Rad said. "Radicles, you should talk to any like..." Mr. Gar was interrupted by Carol as she says, "Gene, he just doesn't want us to ruin his van, so don't yell at him." Carol turned to Rad and said, "Sorry Rad." "It's okay, now let's go." Rad said, as he starts the van and slowly follows K.O as he walks to wherever he's going. About an hour of driving, the group followed K.O to a fancy restaurant called the forest cafea, and parked in the parking lot and exited the van. "Man, we've been driving for an hour and this is where K.O went for dinner." Enid complained. "Well, this is a nice place to go for a bite." Carol adimited. "Now is not the time for some fancy gazing, right now we need to find K.O and what he's up to." Rad said. And speak of the Devil, the group saw K.O entering the restaurant. "He's going inside the place." Enid said, as they walk to the restaurant and entered. After paying for a table and getting menus, They saw the were a good distance away from K.O, but he didn't see them, and the booth he was sitting in was a decorated one with a candle and a vase with roses in it, and he looked like he was waiting for someone. "Well, he has a nice table, while we have an ordinary one." Rad complained. "I wonder what the occasion is." Enid said. Carol noticed someone was coming and said, "I think someone's going to K.O's table." The group hid their faces behind the menus as they looked at K.O and saw someone who approached the table that surprised them. "Hello, K.O." Said the person. The person was K.O best friend from school, Dendy, who is not in her trademark jumpsuit, but an aqua blue dress and white high heels and she isn't wearing her goggles that would hide her eyes, and her pupils were colored an emerald green. "Dendy." The group whispered, as the Kappa sat down at the table. "It's nice that you choose such a nice place for our date night." K.O said. "Thanks, it was the best place for tonight and I wanted to try this place for a while." Dendy said with a smile. The two picked up their menus to decide what to order, while the group were thinking about the situation.
